Beautiful building by the fountain ⛲ Rudolf the red noise reindeer lol i look like Rudolf and santa all in one when i travel lol wow that indoor market looks unreal! so great sombreros there. Those guys seemed nice and it was a fair price x enjoyed exploring the market with you, its great you speak Spanish x
Wherever you go, the ladies follow. That will definitely keep the sun off your face. It was great that you met the ladies before you went in and grabbed a bargain and two new subscribers, too. I see that the ladies have already commented. I'm loving your travels and videos, Matt. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Matt for sharing Guadalajara . I love to hear the mariachi and also you had new words to learn in spanish lol while you were waiting for you meal. I love my country and all the special people you meet while you are traveling. Nice hat guerito.
Looks like you found some new followers while purchasing your new sombrero. The market was huge and the mariachi band and other buskers in the food area was a fun experience. It was really atmospheric. Great to see how friendly everyone was. Hope the sombrero does the job.
Hi Matt. So interesting market. You ended up buying the hat at the first store 😁 The touts aren't as pushy as they are in Southeast Asian markets. There are a lot of cheerful people in Latin America. You're popular with the local women.😆 Have a wonderful travel, stay safe !
Yes I don't usually buy it straight away but I was happy with the hat and the price and those guys earned their money 😁 lots of happy people there and not pushy sales at all 😄 thanks Juli!
Hi Rudolph...er, Matt! 🤭 Better late than never on the hat! 😅 The giggling girls were very cute. Aw, so sweet they tracked you down for a photo! 😍 Cool hat...good choice 👍 Glad you decided to take it - the guys were very nice and gave you a fair price. The belts looked like something Elvis would have worn, lol! The market looked vibrant and the food delicious. Great video. Have a fun week! ❤
Hi Matt, well that was pretty cool. Mexico sure seems very friendly or this part does. Getting subs on the go so worth the extra 100 and seemed a better quality hat. You was quite the celebrity at one point. I've never been to Mexico but do like Mexican food so probably even better the authentic kind. A bit of entertainment to boot 🙂
Cheers Paul! The hat was still the same price (just over £6) so happy enough with that 😎 the food here is much better quality than the Mexican restaurants we get in the UK, which are mostly run by Indians 😆
The new sombrero definitely changes the look! Sounds like there's a lot to shop through and bargains to be made. Hope you're having a good weekend, Matt.
Hi Matt! Glad to see you're having great fun in Mexico. Loving the headgear - sounds like it is much needed in that weather haha! Hibiscus water sounds fascinating and I do have a soft spot for anything guava too. Your Spanish skills are very impressive and allow you to connect with the locals in a more meaningful way. Safe travels!
Hello from Naples, Florida. Very nice! A huge market, for sure, with so much to see. Thanks for sharing the amazing views with us, have a great weekend 👍 💯 ❤
I might enter that market but not find my way out!! lol That is one happening place!! Those leather boots on the rack sure looked inviting...but I'd have "make him pay the highest price" written all over my face! LOL Yup, nice shade from the hat indeed!
I struggled to make my way out 😅 haha I think I had that look on my face, it was only when I was editing the video I could see the guys eyes light up as I was walking towards them 🤣
Wow! Mexico 🇲🇽 seems a far better place than the USA, a lot more friendly, a wicked shopping centre and some lovely ladies who wanted a photo with you! Nice hat Matt 😀 Another great video
I'm not surprised it took you a while to get out of this place, seems like an absolute maze! I've been to a few similar markets in Asia, and I always get very nervous when it comes to haggling. Your ability to speak Spanish, definitely came in handy. Seems like you're a celebrity in Mexico! 😂
Red sunburnt nose! Yes welcome to the very English person abroad club! Some scary chairs there but the place looks lovely. Great advice on the Sombreros. Well unless Spain changes the EU laws for Brits (they are trying) or we rejoin the EU I wont be able to reside in Spain for more than six months of any year. Whilst the house prices are stupidly cheap and we have income. The criteria is you need £2700 a month to come in NOT from income to reside in a property you buy there now. Or a property and 250K each so unless I win the lotto not happening. Very disappointed. Great looking sombrero Matt. Your haggling skills are as good as your Spanish, you leave me in the dust on both essential counts! I’m not dark! That could maybe work as you get older! 😂Aye up your new BFFs have rocked up to seal the sale! Oh yes im liking the belt. Ah fair play, they deserved the sale! I have some of those cowboy boots! Cough. More than one pair! The drowned sarnie looks delicious and a show too! How can you beat this? At your service white man! Spot on, a massive slice of heaven there, no doubt. ❤
I reckon in the next 10-15 years things will have changed re brits being able to retire in Spain. I hope so, because I certainly don't want to retire in the UK. You have cowboy boots? I'm jealous. If I had more disposable income I'd buy a whole cowboy outfit. Love the style. I guess I'll just have to make do with the sombrero for now 🤠😅
@@no_soy_rubio I really hope it does change. apparently Spain want to change the rules because it’s in their interests for Brits to retire there. Really am already sick of being back in the Uk, everything is so expensive. I do actually have an entire cowboy outfit, chaps and all! 😅
Magnifico-o-o-o! 42, coincidentally the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything, apparently. Well, hiking can be solitary, so this move to an ad-hoc interaction with the locals was super-refreshing, like the Hibiscus Water from the House of Fresa. Your magnetic personality needed one to keep those girls, and the exuberant guy with the windmill arms, at bay. 😳 “A little bit of crisp taco kind of thing in a drowned sandwich” sure was a great promotion line.😂 The red-shirted guy in the band also does a great Mexican chest wax - 10 seconds of close-up blasting with his off-key Mariachi trumpet and no hairs stand a chance. Maybe next time? 😉Keep enjoying your adventure. Thanks again for the entertainment, Matt.🤩
Ahh we have a Hitchhiker's fan! Indeed, I went for my first solo hike in a while yesterday and it was a struggle to say the least 😆ahaha maybe I can borrow a whip from a cowboy. That's not a double entendre btw 🤠 I know, I know, I'm Anthony Bourdain's natural successor with food descriptions like that 😅 awww maybe I could go for that chest wax, so long as he promises not to mess up the beard. Cheers, Roberto!
@@no_soy_rubio on a serious note, hiking at 1500m above sea level is bound to be a struggle against the rarefied air, as I've no doubt you're aware. Mexico City is even higher and needs a couple of weeks to acclimatise. Staying off the peyote helps.😁 Take care. 😉
