Thank you for what you do. Just finished listening to entire hour. Keep being a pioneer in Ugandan filmmaking! My friends and I all love Wakaliwood :) Really good insight into your intention behind keeping the kids in the right path and I am glad more places are starting to recognize you!
When Isaac talks about homeless children and single families, it hit me that teens and young adults engaged in drugs, alcohols, and bad influence are started by bad parenting, bad childhood, single parents not disciplining and interacting with their children, parents getting addicted to drugs/alcohol themselves, parents cheating and divorcing, etc.
My favorite thing about these movies is the creativity and the fact that they are just trying to have fun and entertain people as opposed to Hollywood reproducing the same plot lines for money
You know, it’s kind of easy to knock on the special effects, but we aren’t that far removed from the days of classic westerns and samurai movies and the like, where there wasn’t so much as an exploding packet of blood. In those days, if a character got shot, it was completely on the actor to convey the sense of someone who’s just been shot. It was just part of action cinema at the time. I’m always impressed, when I see one of mr. Nabwana’s films, how well choreographed those action sequences are, and how much those actors are conveying, even where visual effects are quite limited.
Mass respect from an art student from Greece my friend. You are absolutely correct doing your movies in your own language. People should be doing their movies, with their culture, their sound and not only a constant copy paste of Hollywood. Best wishes to you and all the members of your family and acting family ^_^
i respect the integrity of this man for not trying to just do exactly as hollywood does it. while one should learn from others i think its important not to just copy them. *+respect*
Dear Wakaliwood, please make a fundraising ACTION for the purpose of reconstruction of your rehearsal room which is destroyed due to the rainfall. A lot of muzungus would thank you this way for making great movies
Clicked on this vid as soon as I notice it was uploaded and this is so good. The commentary especially is so fucking interesting. Mad respect for the producer and all the brothers and sisters of Wakaliwood and Uganda.
Greethings from Poland to Uganda. I love your Mouvies. It's humour and hard work. This mouvies are difrend and that's why they're refreshing and good. Wish You the best in future.
Issac is going to make a generation of Ugandan filmmakers who will be following in his footsteps from just being true to himself and understanding his work. This guy is a legend and I can see infront of me that he and his work will be studied in the future by future filmmakers all over the globe. The man is clearly unique!
Boda-Boda is a bicycle or motorcycle taxi. 27:11 Wow, that's superficial. 29:54 This kid is a joy to watch and Alan responded wonderfully with his acting! 31:18 Noble. Hopefully these kids will be able to be great actors and filmmakers
Thank you so much Wakaliwood! All of you are doing your best in making these movies and it's inspiring to see it done your way. It proves that anyone around the world can make movies, but it takes a great effort to make a movie globally famous.
I believe Isaac will someday make Ugandans proud of their language and culture, people don’t believe until they see, once the art is respected they can begin to respect their culture the way the outside world does from these films
I just donated to your patreon. It was the first time I've ever donated to anyone on patreon. Totally worth it and deserved. Teaching teaching computer work and animation is such a wonderful way to serve your community and help the future generations as well, on top of making excellent movies. You have my respect.
Now that corona has us staying at home. Wakaliwood is going to pull through
imagine if they had Hollywood gear
They'd be unstopable but i think the lack of said gear gives it charm
The tiny amount of gear are what push these people to be so creative, but the thoughr of them having modern hollywood tech just lets me dream about what they could do!
They would be the Michael Bay we deserve
I think he's the greatest movie creator of all time.

What are your opinions on Onfroy?
@@ReaperD6 It is very good as a ugandan man i enjoyed it
this man is better than 95% Hollywood Industry
95%? That number sounds smaller than what it actually is
Let's just say 100% times better.
If he had a bigger budget he would thrive in the rest of the world possibly
@@matthewmiguel8108 101% or more,

I want to see VJ Emmie commentating other big movies like John Wick and Star Wars, I bet that would be hilarious.
