The A71 appears to support a lot more network bands compared to the A51 according to gsmarena. The A51 supports 4G bands 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41 and 5G bands 41, 78 SA/NSA/Sub6. The A71 (for US) supports 4G bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66, 71 and 5G bands 2, 5, 41, 66, 71 mmWave/Sub6. This means you'll get better coverage with the A71, particularly if you use T-mobile, because it uses band 71. I've heard T-mobile has been filling a lot of their coverage gaps using band 71 so it's becoming very important for your phone to support it or your T-mobile coverage won't be as widespread. Also A71 supports CDMA while A51 does not if that's important to you.

The USA model of the A51 5G DOES have the Exynos 980 BUT the USA A71 5G has the much more battery efficient Snapdragon 765G. You can see the different scores and how A51 says Motherboard: exynos980 but the A71 says Motherboard: lito (which is the SD 765/G). This is a very informative and useful video but I think you may need to give a headsup. They DO NOT have the same chipset.
Note that when you say they are the same, that's true for the UW variants. However, the processor on the non-UW A51 5G is not the same as that in the non-UW A71 5G. In the non-UW version, the A71 has a faster professor.

Now that will be more interesting, same screen size, same brand, but which is the best value? Is the A71 5g worth the extra cash rather the the S10 lite? I'm with cricket wireless, so 5g I don't think I'll benefit.
The S10 lite is better all round value vs the a71 5G (depending how you get it), But it doesn't have a headphone jack (same for S20), which may or may not be a deal breaker. But if you do go wireless I'd recommend Mpow
I have the A71 5G and in my opinion the A51 5G is better . A71 5G display and camera quality is grainy. The A51 5g is super crisp and clear . Yeah the A71 has bigger screen but bigger ain't sometimes better . Unfortunately my A51 was updating and while it updated it "crashed" so to speak that not even Samsung can fix so im very sad I had to let it go . That was a brand new phone too . The A71 was a great deal I couldn't pass cause t-mobile has it for free when I ported my metro pcs number . So I guess its a win . But I love that A51 5G hands down.
I have to replace my Note S8 plus... ( it was the best phone I ever owned ) it really boiled down to price vs performance. I got the A51 5G very lightly used for 240$. I get a few extras with the A51 but lose wireless charging unless I buy one of the attachments... Its a great phone, 6g is insane and the camera is awesome. I only buy refurbished or used phones generally right as the newest generation launches so the prices are great and they are still supported.
I'm hella confused about the whole UW thing. Is it limited to Verizon only or not? And how does the Snapdragon version differ from them one you have? (Referring to the 5G version)
@@djbeeluv No, not at all. I have mine in a case that is open in the front but I think if it was getting hot I would eventually feel it either through the case or on the screen. I don't use a screen cover on it. I'm very happy with mine. It has been an awesome buy for me. How's that for a quick reply. :)

I have to charge my phone every other day. The battery has been a pleasant surprise so far. I could watch a 10 minute UA-cam video and the battery might go down 2 percent.
@@astralinfinite9995 the battery lasts pretty good but when the antenna in the phone is switching back and forth from 5G to 4G LTE the battery does drain a little fast but you have the option to keep it permanently on 5G or permanently on 4G LTE. I would recommend you get the new Samsung A52 5G it just came out it's a better version of the Samsung A51 5G. But with that being said the Samsung A51 5G is still a really really good phone and I like it.

I've had the Galaxy A51 5G for about two weeks now and it's a alright phone I've actually just replaced it because my last A51 was laggy and stuttering so I got another device before my 30 days were up but I'm having the same exact problem with my new phone now too I think that the metal bumper around the phone is cousing it to act up or metro is having messed up devices, my cousin also has the A51 but his is unlocked and he bought his right out from best buy and I git mines for $99.99 so I gotta real good deal on mines but his runs alot better and I think it's because of the aluminum casing around the phone that's making it stutter and lag Idk I also bought the new Motorola G stylus from metro as well and that device was actually free for first time buyers and the specs aren't as good as the A51 but it runs a whole lot better hands down, if I were someone looking for a budget phone I would pick the moto g stylus over the A51 it's runs smoother and it's a whole lot cheaper also and honestly it looks a lot l better to me also, kinda reminds me of the pixel 4a but if u want people to think u bought a galaxy s20 go with the A51, it's still a great phone it just doesn't run as good as the G stylus does 💯

I would recommend you get the new Samsung A52 5G it just came out it's a better version of the Samsung A51 5G.
