I mount the vista in the apex the same way but I run two screws too. Looks like I could prob get away with just the tape. Great video P. I need to check the o3 out. Happy Flying!
2:30 so you don’t use any metal nut anymore, you run the countersunk screw (shortest one for the apex) then use a nylon nut? And then a oring for the Esc mount? Today I started my new buildt and it’s my first kiss ultra buildt I noticed that with a metal nut it’s impossible to still get an oring or something to dampen the Esc from the screw….. Now I think about unscrewing the frame again and also go with a nylon nut if you do it that way…but does the nylon nut not get loose? And also you can’t tighten the screws very strong from the stack ( I thought it’s needed on the apex because the countersunk stack screws they are not flush with the frame and you screw them to the bottom part (I hope you get what I mean) and compress that all together…. After kiss ultra discord I was convinced going withouth dampening but it feels not good to me having the Esc on just hardmounted on Metall nuts
I definitely get what you’re saying. Out of 10 pilots you ask, 9 will say I’m doing it wrong. However, I’m a basher pilot and fly more packs than any normal human should, and likely more than those you ask about proper stack assembly. That being said, I don’t have an issue with the plastic nuts coming loose. If you’re careful, you can actually get them pretty tight. The nice thing about an Apex frame is those four screws have zero structural function. So they could literally be flopping around in there and your frame would still remain tight. So long as you built it properly. I fly with badly bent motor bells, bent props, broken everything and my tune is still magical. If you’ve watched my videos, you can hear it. It’s this way because I pay particular attention to how I mount my flight stack, and I tune my quad. Again, 9 out of 10 pilots will tell you it’s wrong, but my tune will confirm otherwise. (I’m kidding about the 9 out of 10 thing btw haha.) I’d suggest trying it. You can always revert back to the original mounting method. Both will work. I hope that helps a little. Thanks so much big dog! Let me know if you have any more questions.

Gorilla grip is far better in every way the E6000! It holds better, yet its easier to remove, lol, i know that sounds dumb but it's true, and it dries to touch very quickly!
@@PhantomFPVok, i was just making a recommendation for other builders, i kinda just yell out things and don't explain myself well... your a beast of a pilot and go through alot of parts i couldn't afford, I'm disabled so I'm very poor and very low income, i buy lower quality parts like skystars, jhemcu, lannrc, emax, brotherhobby and such, usually and got to get them to last, I'm a shitty pilot due to my disabilities though, but i love building along with flying, i build alot mostly for friends or to sell to support my addiction to the hobby, lol, i need to reuse as many parts as possible so i have take stuff apart frequently on my builds cuz i just buy $20-30 frames and $3-10 motors usually, thats why i recommended the removable type over e6000, gorilla grip is same thing as e7000 just easier to find at the store, they're just easily removable then e6000 and softer and stretchier, I've never had anything come apart prematurely using the removable type, i also use alot putting it all over my wires and edges of the boards and such to protect the electronics as much as possible to help them last, i just make sure not to use it on the chips that get hot so the heat gets let out, i go through a while tube every few builds, i also like that the removable dries in a fraction of the time, sorry for the rant, was just explaining why i prefer it for other builders that may see this...
@phantom I happen to use the Immortal T setup because I'm still on TBS Crossfire, how could i hook this up? i want something similar with a mount for my TBS Nano Rx or could i mount it another way
You could do it similarly. When I ran CSRF, I mounted my antenna nearly the same way. They offer small M3 mounts or you could print some and attach the antenna to the front or real standoffs. Another option is to tape it under an arm. Folks talk about how this hurts antenna performance, but if you’re not doing LR and only ripping freestyle close, it’s not an issue. Thanks so much!

@@PhantomFPV 😜👊👊😎👍
Try the replacement antenna from flyfishRC - I found it to be a bit sturdier and cheaper. It performs about the same and they have a variant with shorter cables and stem.
That’s excellent feedback Der-v. I’ll look those up. How’s the build coming along? Thanks so much!!!
@@PhantomFPV finally managed to order an ultra last week! 👍
Right on Dawg😮I do the same bro 👊🏻👊🏻👍🏻

new video soon ?
Fingers crossed! Thanks so much my friend.
Dude i miss you, everything okay?
I miss you too!!! Some tips will be coming up soon. Had to take a break to realize what I was missing. Thanks so much for checking in.
Gorilla grip is far better in every way the E6000! It holds better, yet its easier to remove, lol, i know that sounds dumb but it's true, and it dries to touch very quickly!
I've tried it and went back to E6000. Shooters choice really. Gotta run what ya brung. Thanks so much Digital!
Waz up?😀
What it DOOOOOOOOOO!!!
@@PhantomFPV thanks for always replying, have always helped me on my adventure making decisions, now my builds just like yours but crossfire and hobbywing xtrotor, tmotor F60's, but copied your ideas with antennas and frames etc.
