    Am what would you G like for your D breakfast Em madame?
    C ‘I’d like to eat the snake’ said G eve to D adam
    Am so the serpent G came but he D had a different Em plan
    C gonna use the woman ..D… to deceive the Em man .. Em
    Verse 2
    Am ‘why don’t you G eat of the D apple’ said Em he
    C ‘oh no!’ said eve, ‘that tree’s G forbidden to D me’
    Am but the serpent G persisted, ‘are D you sure of Em that?’
    ‘fruit is C good for you and ..D… it won’t make you Em fat’ .. Em
    Verse 3
    ‘take a Am look at the G apple, see it’s D juicy and Em round
    C here’s not the only place that G it can be D found
    Am the tree has G plenty and they’ll D all go to Em waste
    so-why-not C pick one today... D and have a secret Em taste’ .. Em

    the Am glint in his G eye persuaded D eve to give it a Em try
    C the taste was good and her G spirits were D high
    Am she took it to G adam and D he ate of it Em too
    C take heed of this..D… it can happen to Em you .. Em

    Am when he saw the G fig leaf and the D fear on their Em face

    C ‘did you eat of the G fruit of the D forbidden one?’
    Am ‘well the woman G gave me to D eat’, said Em he
    C ’twas the serpent who tricked us D both …’, said Em she .. Em

    Am the lord was G displeased D with his Em protégé
    C he vowed they’d pay for the G rest of their D day
    Am hard work and G toil, by the D sweat of their Em brow
    C to earn a living..D .. and it’s still that way Em now .. Em
