We head off to Run Cottage Touring Park at Hollesley in Suffolk for two nights in early March 2020. In the afternoon we walk to the village church, public house and shop on our way to and from Shingle Street on the coast overlooking the North Sea.

Thanks for watching our videos. We include all things to do with motorhomes, caravans and the great outdoors. We mainly tour the UK and camp around 80 nights per year in our 2017 Swift Bolero. We offer advice, tips and tricks, review campsites and associated products or services. We also occasionally make videos about other trips we take without the motorhome.

Great drive thru the countryside ,loved the sunset over the camper , I don't think i want to go swimming thanks have a great weekend
LOL swimming in those waters would be very dangerous judging by the currents that could be seen. There are lots of sand banks out there that cause the tides to flow at pace. The sunset was a very pink one which only lasted about 20 minutes. Thanks for watching 😁 Trev

So nice! Very different from parks here in Canada and the USA. I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen a park where the grass is so well maintained and has the RVs parked on it.
Yes, grass pitches are common on the smaller campsites in the UK. The owners are very proud to keep their site so well maintained. We are lucky to have this kind of independent campsite all over the country and we love to visit them. Thanks so much for watching 😁 Trev

Yes definitely recommend Run Cottage. Local pub is dog friendly and serves food. Village shop is like a mini supermarket. If you want to explore the nearby villages you will need to take the van but there are plenty of places to park off season. Thanks for watching and see you soon 😁 Trev
Lovely place guys nice and “ out the way “ so to speak , we looked at there but never ended up going , love coming across all those ww2 pillboxes , thanks for showing us around 👍
There were a couple more further up the road and the three Martello towers but the weather turned us back. Great site but quite remote. Nice pub and shop in the village and surrounded in lovely places to explore. Have a good weekend and stay safe 🙂 Trev

Just a brief look in this one as it was a bit dark in there. Gladly it was left open but many had to close their doors due to theft and vandalism. We like to look round the old churches as they form an important historical element locally. Thanks so much for watching 😁 Trev
Hi from NZ we hope you are keeping well with this horrible virus around. We are in our 4th day in complete lockdown, were supposed to be away in our MH but of course it was postponed. We enjoy being home so only not being able to go away in our MH is the only downfall. Love your walk and the beautiful old church and graveyard. Village is lovely too. Look after yourselves.

My ancestors were English, moved to Canada, crossed over to Michigan. I live in Ohio, USA. I don't think I'll ever visit England in person, glad to see how camping is done there.
Is that traffic roar I hear?
There is a B road that runs from Bawdsey to Butley along the Suffolk coast but it connects a few villages so it’s unlikely to be persistent road noise. There is more chance of it being wind or sea noise as the site is less than a mile from the North Sea. This site is still a favourite local site for us but we have few opportunities to go back as we have been busy with other tours. 😃🚐 Trev

Love how yours are called touring parks and ours are campgrounds. Those little cabins are super cute! Oh those waves. Sure would love to be at the beach right now. The architecture is great too!

This area is very unspoilt and not far from where we live. The church is clearly loved as the locals have kept it open and so clean and nice inside. We love this part of the east coast and the North Sea always seems different whenever we visit. Thanks so much for watching 🙂 Trev n Sue
