I'm glad they're making it more user friendly. Coming from Tableau I was so surprised how hard it was to simply change a title? Why do I have to click through multiple menus? Why can't I just double click on the title and change the text!?

Power BI is like Android and Tableau is like iOS.
Power BI keep on adding things and changing UI more often, while Tableau is focused more on performance, and optimization..
    Correct me if I'm wrong
PS: I started working on Power BI again after 2-3 years, and facing problem in finding things, now again things have changed

Good points. I feel like both of them place users far down the list of their priorities. They just have different styles for approaching the data analysis problem. Tableau had a head start and the maturity of visual options and features shows through. Power BI is still finding its grove and they keep fiddling with things all the time. But it offers a far stable and well thought out data pre-process and calculation engine. If you wait a few more years and try PBI again, you might have a different opinion.

I have to say that you are correct but from an employment, standpoint consider this:
      1. Tableau is owned by SalesForce which also owns Mulesoft and Slack. Tableau is a pretty costly product compared to Power BI
      2. Microsoft owns Power BI hence they can almost give it away to pull in more market share and also they can directly integrate their other
products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint which they are continually improving integration with and adding new features and functionality
      3. I work at a huge bank and when asked people prefer Power BI over Tableau for simplicity and the reasons given in #2.
It's the Betamax vs VHS story all over. Betamax was better quality but VHS won in the end by flooding the market which is exactly what
      Microsoft's strategy is.

After working for so long with the tool, I feel this is a step backwards.
Probably it’s easier for those who never used it, but I liked how everything was in one place. Yes, it takes a while to get used to it, but at least you see all the options you have versus this version where you have to click all around to get what you need.

👍👍I must commend the clever move of utilizing the secondary Y-axis on the screen, and the tabular arrangement of the charts akin to that of Excel. These further accentuate effectiveness of Excel and Power BI. Converting similar user interface will undoubtedly elevate the value of learning Excel, as students will perceive their skills as being more interconnected. With Power BI's seamless ability to change titles, remove grid lines, and apply formatting, it becomes apparent that they have wisely leveraged over 30 years of Excel experience. Apart from appreciating new features, I must say, your dedication and expertise are a true inspiration, and I look forward to continuing to learn from you in the future. You are awesome.💕
