To be fair Rusty did have a good run in CGI. Also I do like his CGI voice that Matt Wilkinson gives him. Also this is going to be an unpopular opinion but I honestly don't mind his big face.

Still funny to me Rusty appears as one of Thomas’s friends during the musical number. But not the entire Skarloey Railway engines.

He had five minutes of screentime, which is more than the Flying Scotsman and Terence.

They kept his dynamic with Duncan, at least.
I do wish Rusty and Duncan dynamic was more pushed in the show. Shame we saw these two interact very little.

@@moonintheblueYeah, in the classic seasons Rusty was never referred to with any specific gendered pronouns because Britt wanted to add more gender diversity to the cast. She opted to make Rusty gender-neutral, so they were only referred to as "the little diesel," not as "he" or "she." The HiT era was the first time (in the TV series, at least) where Rusty was referred to with gender-specific pronouns. In the UK, male pronouns were used, but the original US dub of season 9 referred to Rusty as female. This was changed in later DVD releases though and Rusty has been referred to as male ever since.

Sometimes in the show I think they have standard gauge track which also has narrow gauge track on the inside.
No offense to Rusty, but Duncan has less.
