I've done security work and personal bodyguard work for FGL, and with my experience dealing with FGL and listening to other security personnel talking, Tyler wasn't the friendliest person to deal with and his wife was a complete b!tch and caused problems but BK was cool and down to earth. He would shake our hands, thank us and talk with us. There was always an inside joke that they weren't going to stay together. They are night and day as personalities. I really hope BK has a successful solo career.

I can assure you that the overwhelming majority of us would be able to sit down at the dinner table, enjoy fantastic conversation, and generally agree on most things if we had the chance. Obviously, there are outliers on both sides that would shit at this proverbial table, but in general, if we could remove all the emotion and hate that has been spoon-fed to us, we could and would all see a very similar future for the country and ourselves.. . Hopefully, one day, we can get back to being a country of love and prosperity... All this hate and divisiveness has done nothing but tear us down.

They did fight over Trump. Tim McGraw did a song with Tyler about not being divided, addressing the chaos and division going on. They had differences of opinion. Tyler is known for being a good guy. A stand up guy. A guy who is a big time writer, and the voice we all here in FGL. Part of the disagreements were because Tyler was thinking of his children, and what he thinks about their future. BK is known for being the opposite kinda guy. They have no kids, and his stuff is still in a different place. One way or another, it boiled down to differences of opinions abd direction. Tyler still sounds the same as always, and still pumping out songs. It does seem that BK is not seeing the success he thought he'd have on his own, and other artists have been more supportive to Tyler, business is as usual, whereas not so with BK. Tyler being the writer and voice, he was able to restart and climb right back up. You can't blame him for his success, and if you liked FGL, than you like Tyler, and can't disregard him. If you want to support BK and see what he is able to accomplish, sounds good, but you can't discount Tyler and his songs (regardless of additional people being added on a song), if you're a fan of FGL.

It is interesting that BK reminded several times that he was a member of FGL too. It seems like Tyler Hubbard thought he was the main character in FGL and BK was his back up. I remember watching them in San Jose in 2012 at a very small bar that was booked before "Cruise" took off. They sounded great. I feel like their first 2 albums were really good then they lost me. It was a hell of a show though.

The band Hanson has done a really good job of allowing each brother to have solo freedom while never breaking up the band, and they've been consistently releasing music since 1997. Their last album, Red Green Blue, was basically a compilation of 3 EPs where they each made their own music.
I ain’t taking sides, I’m glad to hear BK’s side and it holds a lot of merit. Looking at the bigger picture, neither seems to be the entire sole reason for separation. The big concern seems to be around the time when Tyler unfollowed and said he likes BK better in person than online. If those differences get settled, FGL will perform together again. It still may be years to come yet, but I’m sure it will happen eventually.

Great interview. So glad to hear both sides of the break up. Love both BK and TH. My daughter a Belmont grad 2021 and now works for a major abel in Nashville. Bands almost always split at some point. In this case just two in the band and been so successful and at the top with FGL but even though they are solo they still start at the top, you don't back up. You already have fans that respect you and love your music together or solo. Me, my daughter and Bruin Nation will always be your fans. You earned that and we loved every song you Blessed us with. Would love to BK do a Christian song It appears he has that in his heart. When you have two in a group just know you have been together has a team for quit a while and you two need to see it is ok for both of you to have different goals now, you both will succeed and give us your FGL fans some different type music for some years now. We are okay with that because it's exciting to see what is next and we are seeing some of that already from both of you and it is every bit as good as we expected. You two just stay friends and keep supporting each other you both are entitled to your own thoughts on the separation and I understand sometimes what you verbally agree on one or the other man jump the gun. That's one mistake perhaps and doesn't need to separate what you two built together. Many on us FGL fans including my daughter and so many of her peers and friends in the music industry and most of them are Bruins that run that industry down there all agree we think you two will at least some time in the future come back for a tour and write some new FGL songs for us. Or perhaps from time to time get together and just write a song together as FGL just for the fans that have supported you to your success just as a way to say we want you to know FGL still loves you. This will also bring even more solo fans your way. Wishing you both and your family God's Blessing in your life journey. We love you here in Ohio and hope to see both of you in a solo or at our country jam in Ohio Stadium. Although I am moving to Nashville this year I will still come back for that concert.

I feel like when there's a band or duo who decides they want to go solo, one or all of the remaining members are either painted in a negative light or the person wanting to go solo is. I'm not exactly sure if this is a tactic to get the solo artist more sympathy fans but as a fan of FGL, I feel like if they both want to go solo then I can respect that, what I cannot respect is the lying or malicious ulterior motive towards gaining a larger following/fandom by lying. If what Brian is saying is true then Tyler needs to publicly apologize. It will ultimately affect Brian's career otherwise. This breaks my heart 💔

Sounds like once McGraw asked TH to join him on a song that was gonna be played on a huge political stage, he realized that was his opportunity to launch his solo career and basically just fucked over BK in the process.
It is interesting that BK reminded several times that he was a member of FGL too. It seems like Tyler Hubbard thought he was the main character in FGL and BK was his back up. It really shows a lot about Tyler Hubbard's character with the fact he is gas lighting people into thinking the end of FGL was due to BK wanting to make solo content. BK's music is way more country sounding, and we should all support him to send a message.
BK’s albums are both absolutely incredible. Hard to believe he didn’t get to sing more on the FGL tracks. My favorite country artist right now. Incredible music! Keep it up!

It doesn’t sound like BK was unreasonable with his idea to keep in the band and do some solo projects. Tyler said no but then does a collaboration with Tim McGraw for Biden inauguration a short time after ? Weird. It’s understandable for Brian to feel slighted. Why was Tyler so unreasonable? Then Tyler unfollowed BK because he’s a Trump supporter. He doesn’t sound like a good friend. I think Tyler thinks he was the star of FGL and has a big ego. Hes been untruthful about the reasons for the split to sound likes he’s innocent in it and a nice guy. I don’t think he is and he and his wife went Hollywood. He’s out for himself and wants to associate with a different crowd.

Always been team BK ever since I saw them for the first time in a tiny cornfield in 2013 and met him such a down to earth guy!!
I remember watching them in San Jose in 2012 at a very small bar that was booked before "Cruise" took off. They sounded great. I feel like their first 2 albums were really good then they lost me. It was a hell of a show though.
This is very interesting & informative. I honestly thought their political views were the opposite of what they actually are. BK handled this with integrity imo
The band Hanson has done a really good job of allowing each brother to have solo freedom while never breaking up the band, and they've been consistently releasing music since 1997.
Their last album, Red Green Blue, was basically a compilation of 3 EPs where they each made their own music.

I ain’t taking sides, I’m glad to hear BK’s side and it holds a lot of merit. Looking at the bigger picture, neither seems to be the entire sole reason for separation. The big concern seems to be around the time when Tyler unfollowed and said he likes BK better in person than online. If those differences get settled, FGL will perform together again. It still may be years to come yet, but I’m sure it will happen eventually.

Great interview. So glad to hear both sides of the break up. Love both BK and TH. My daughter a Belmont grad 2021 and now works for a major abel in Nashville. Bands almost always split at some point. In this case just two in the band and been so successful and at the top with FGL but even though they are solo they still start at the top, you don't back up. You already have fans that respect you and love your music together or solo. Me, my daughter and Bruin Nation will always be your fans. You earned that and we loved every song you Blessed us with. Would love to BK do a Christian song It appears he has that in his heart. When you have two in a group just know you have been together has a team for quit a while and you two need to see it is ok for both of you to have different goals now, you both will succeed and give us your FGL fans some different type music for some years now. We are okay with that because it's exciting to see what is next and we are seeing some of that already from both of you and it is every bit as good as we expected. You two just stay friends and keep supporting each other you both are entitled to your own thoughts on the separation and I understand sometimes what you verbally agree on one or the other man jump the gun. That's one mistake perhaps and doesn't need to separate what you two built together. Many on us FGL fans including my daughter and so many of her peers and friends in the music industry and most of them are Bruins that run that industry down there all agree we think you two will at least some time in the future come back for a tour and write some new FGL songs for us. Or perhaps from time to time get together and just write a song together as FGL just for the fans that have supported you to your success just as a way to say we want you to know FGL still loves you. This will also bring even more solo fans your way. Wishing you both and your family God's Blessing in your life journey. We love you here in Ohio and hope to see both of you in a solo or at our country jam in Ohio Stadium. Although I am moving to Nashville this year I will still come back for that concert.

I feel like when there's a band or duo who decides they want to go solo, one or all of the remaining members are either painted in a negative light or the person wanting to go solo is. I'm not exactly sure if this is a tactic to get the solo artist more sympathy fans but as a fan of FGL, I feel like if they both want to go solo then I can respect that, what I cannot respect is the lying or malicious ulterior motive towards gaining a larger following/fandom by lying. If what Brian is saying is true then Tyler needs to publicly apologize. It will ultimately affect Brian's career otherwise. This breaks my heart 💔

Damn, hard to not feel for both of them. The creative industry is tough. Wish them both the best. Maybe we'll see a reunion at some point. Will always cherish FGL songs as a major soundtrack to a good time. Legendary.
