My mum would always tell me "son there are three most important decisions you will make in your life. The first is when you take Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, second is when you will pick your career or God's calling in your life, and the third is choosing whom you'll marry. Make the right decisions and you're on your way of living a meaningful and purposeful life." And I hope to do all these things according to God's wisdom, grace and guidance. I will be sure to pass the same light to my kids and the next generation.

Thanks. I needed this. I got sucked into a relationship based on lust and not wanting to be alone anymore. She pursued me relentlessly. I was a believer but she was not. I knew the relationship wasn’t right but I didn’t want to be alone anymore and she really wanted to be with me. She later trapped me by getting pregnant. Obviously, the relationship was doomed and filled with lies and deceit. Almost 10 years later she is married to someone else and is essentially no where around while I’m alone and raising the child on my own.

Not being alone and wanting to grow spiritually and emotionally led me to choose him because he was in front of me and more loving that the other knuckleheads. We got together for lust and I truly wanted a life partner that I seen myself in. Lust is what drove us to sexual immorality. Love for His ways and love for my ex for who he was outside of what he had or his ways, is what drove me near Him and my ex. We just got pregnant a couple of months ago. But throughout the whole relationship he was wandering for other women and eventually sexual with them. That’s in the past. I forgive him, however he does not want to be with me. He told me it would be great to have me by his side. But since I don’t have financial stability right now he said he’d always look at another woman like she is better. It’s truly heartbreaking. He told me if it could work out he’d be what I needed from him and have another woman. But it would be disrespectful to me and her. It is so painful to know that we’re both followers of Christ but he’s chosen these worldly things over love with me. I know I’m supposed to let him go. I was training to be a wife that would love him and stick by him no matter what so I don’t know whether to treat this as a rough patch between us or not. He was not training for that with me. But I know God is not the author of confusion. I’ll stick to the word to get me through! Peace be with you 💚
I needed this so much. My boyfriend and I just recently both re/seriously dedicated our lives to the Lord. It was after something really detrimental happened in our relationship. And him coming to God was a miracle in itself. It’s nearly 2 months later and we’re still struggling to define our faith and our relationship. But we both know God is the one ultimately in control and we both want His will for our lives. It just feels so hard sometimes and it’s even harder when we’re not focused on God. So good! i remember being in a relationship for almost 2 years, getting born again during the time of us being together and trying so hard to make it work because that's what my flesh wanted and I really sought God for answers, he took me to luke 14:33 in the MSG translation (which i literally never read) and it said "Simply put, if you’re not willing to take what is dearest to you, whether plans or people, and kiss it good-bye, you can’t be my disciple." and i legit burst into tears because i felt God directly speak to me to let go. Over a year later God has satisfied me for than anyone could and has not disappointed me
Just got out of a two year relationship. Our first kiss was electric and I really thought he was the one. I got so caught up in the potential of him being my husband- I lost myself and my path. But in the fallout of the initial emotions of "oooo, she is my wife" i find myself in this very real place where that truth may still remain, but it is not an ultimate thing. Thank you for directing us back towards Christ, truly, the only hope and satisfaction for our souls.
This is the first time in my life I’ve really taken my faith extremely serious and it happens to be during my longest relationship to date. The girl I’m with is Christian but doesn’t practice it. I’ve been making strides at getting her involved with her faith in Christ and it has shown improvements in our relationship, however everyday is still a battle. I often have thoughts on if it is the right one, but what gives me more hope is knowing that the longer we stay together, the more she will know what God’s love is doing in hers and my life. I really think that the most important aspect of this situation is just getting her closer to God. If we end up staying together and being married that’s great, however what’s really important is our salvation and at least right now I think that is what God is calling me to do. Keep God involved and let him do what he does.

I like that how you put that plan and simple and i needed that because im in that season and was wanting to get back with my ex but im building with God and i have turned my old flesh and taking the steps to purify my heart and plant some good seeds. I fall short some times and text me ex to let her know somethings that i have been doing in life since the break up like no porn or sex for 111 days now and still going quit drinking for 2 weeks now my next 3 things is stop smoking cussing and get on a no meat diet and just keep going from there. Hey Bro! This is really good stuff and really just speaking into this season. Recently, we broke up and i was just really questioning things, it's a good reminder man. Thank you for being so filled with spirit that the Lord can work through you.
My last relationship was 8 months long. I was already planning on being with her forever. It was so full of abundant joy, and at first, we both looked to the Lord for guidance. But slowly sin and lies crept into our relationship. I couldn't see it, but we were living in such sin and deceit. Was I in love with her? Yes of course. Do I miss her? Yes, just about every day. Did we make the right choice to break up? Yes, we did. I think Montell said this in another video, that it is okay to cry after you make the right decision. I feel such loneliness and longing, but I will still praise the name of the Lord.
For anyone wanting to have marriage it will come soon just be patient. Know that marriage is also a marriage with God himself. God hears you and knows your heart, what’s gone may come back stronger or left alone for the best. Be happy about break ups it could have saved you, mentally, physically and spiritually. Don’t loose faith in God for he has a much better person for you in mind. But wait and have faith 🤍🤍

i've been feeling sad because my parents moved to a new city while i was in college and while i love this city, i obviously do not know anyone. as we are in the midst of covid-19, i can't exactly meet anyone either. but i feel like God is telling me to be satisfied with the blessings i have in this moment and in my lack of peers, i will know him deeper.
I am going through the same thing right now, but I thank God for bringing me closer to Jesus and to himself. Turning my direction to God during this time has also helped me remove a certain somebody who I really liked and talked for 10 months. I now see that God was teaching me a lesson and now I know what kind of potential partner to avoid. God will give you the answer just keep praying and glorify Him

Thank you for speakin on this. I feel the church is still so caught up in idolizing marriage/relationships. Its a beautiful blessing but God doesnt need us to be ina relationship in order to use us. Being content with singleness is difficult in this society but its such an amazing and significant season to be in and grow in.
The practicalities of this video are very helpful and often ignored out in the world. It reminds me of Psalm 90:12 in which the psalmist asks God to "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
I went through a breakup with a guy who was my first love, last year. We had plans on marriage and starting a family. It didn't end up working out and it shattered me. I've been on the journey of healing. At first I was so upset, asking God why it had to end. As time went on I finally relized why it had to. It was not a godly relationship at all. We both meet eachother where we didn't understand or know God. As time went on, we were going on a seperate journey of understanding God. Other things happened that also broke our relationship. Something new I'm starting to do, slowly by slowly is trusting God and letting Him take the wheel of my life. Surrendering it. I'm okay with being alone again. All we really need is God, He is sufficient and enough. Should be number 1 in our lives :))

I feel you , I know I struggle man. I have a whole wife out here committing adultery as I type this and if you met her she will quote nearly every scripture in the world and tell you how she has so much faith in god for all these things, but she is cheating on me with another so called Christian guy. So as much as I try to have that Christ like love and forgiveness and pray and fast and say I know my heart not right , I’m human and the way I feel I can’t help even though I keep saying is I don’t want to feel this way, but it’s hard checking your ego and pride when someone is blatantly doing your wrong when you doing all you can to reconcile, but aye it’s a hard struggle to stay faithful in Christ when you have every feeling saying this is not right. I know I know my feelings are not right, but it’s really how I feel.

Matthew Small I actually went through with divorcing her, and the final straw was due to that she called me one night and said she wanted to reconcile, and asked could we have lunch the next day. I agreed she tells me she has been praying and the Holy Spirit presses upon her about her sin, and she prayed asked for forgiveness and said god instructed her to reconcile with her husband..... I agreed, and told her it will be hard, but with god we can do this. A week later in front of her family she tells everyone that I am just her friend. So I said I promptly said whoa that’s no where in the conversations we’ve been having and we are still wearing our wedding rings, and instead of arguing in front of them I asked to go outside. She basically said in so many words she doesn’t know if she heard from God and doesn’t really want to be with me, because she doesn’t love me anymore, and that the only reason she would come back to me is out of fear that god will punish her, and since she doesn’t think god will she would rather not be with me. After that I prayed and said to god I’m done with her in so many words and whatever covenant we had. Of course after the divorce she made many attempts to get back with me, and even said that after the divorce a veil was removed off of her eyes, and that being divorced and losing her family wasn’t what she thought it would be, and she wants us back. She even came up pregnant for the guy. She even said the guy was crazy and said once that he thought he was God or Jesus or something like that. I still care for her and pray for her, but watching her since the divorce has been sad because it’s like my wife has went out to the world and is playing the whore. She’s been sleeping with so many men, and I know cuz she tells me. Plus my daughter tells me too.

My brothers and sister who are single, we should follow this scripture, first thing first is being patient, we all know lust and love are opposite. Lust will rush things, Love is patient, lust will take and love will give (John 3:16) there’s so much more scripture to guide you aswell, I personally feel 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 is really good on finding a wife or a husband, love use all and remember when your going through trials know that your siblings in Jesus Christ also are suffering things aswell

I got sucked into a relationship based on lust and not wanting to be alone anymore. She pursued me relentlessly. I was a believer but she was not. I knew the relationship wasn’t right but I didn’t want to be alone anymore and she really wanted to be with me. She later trapped me by getting pregnant. Obviously, the relationship was doomed and filled with lies and deceit. Almost 10 years later she is married to someone else and is essentially no where around while I’m alone and raising the child on my own.

I'm getting over a lustful relationship too, if you could even call it that since he was never my true boyfriend. Those worldly relationships are powerful strongholds and deceptions of satan, you may have a soul tie that needs to be broken by the blood of Jesus. I strongly suggest you pray, have faith in Christ and ask God to make you love Him more than you love anyone or anything else, because all things work together for the good of those that love God. Watch Derek Prince's 'how to be delivered (from evil spirits/demons) (1995)' on UA-cam, he does a very powerful prayer towards the end of the video but I really suggest you watch it all the way through, it could change your life for the better and free you from all of satan's strongholds and bondages on your life. Stay strong in Christ bro. Stay focused on God and don't go back to or dwell on something that God has already rescued you from. Before you ask for healing, make sure you are willing to give up what made you sick, so that girl. Not being alone and wanting to grow spiritually and emotionally led me to choose him because he was in front of me and more loving that the other knuckleheads. We got together for lust and I truly wanted a life partner that I seen myself in. Lust is what drove us to sexual immorality. Love for His ways and love for my ex for who he was outside of what he had or his ways, is what drove me near Him and my ex. We just got pregnant a couple of months ago. But throughout the whole relationship he was wandering for other women and eventually sexual with them. That’s in the past. I forgive him, however he does not want to be with me. He told me it would be great to have me by his side. But since I don’t have financial stability right now he said he’d always look at another woman like she is better. It’s truly heartbreaking. He told me if it could work out he’d be what I needed from him and have another woman. But it would be disrespectful to me and her.
It is so painful to know that we’re both followers of Christ but he’s chosen these worldly things over love with me. I know I’m supposed to let him go. I was training to be a wife that would love him and stick by him no matter what so I don’t know whether to treat this as a rough patch between us or not. He was not training for that with me. But I know God is not the author of confusion. I’ll stick to the word to get me through! Peace be with you 💚

I needed this so much. My boyfriend and I just recently both re/seriously dedicated our lives to the Lord. It was after something really detrimental happened in our relationship. And him coming to God was a miracle in itself. It’s nearly 2 months later and we’re still struggling to define our faith and our relationship. But we both know God is the one ultimately in control and we both want His will for our lives. It just feels so hard sometimes and it’s even harder when we’re not focused on God. So good! i remember being in a relationship for almost 2 years, getting born again during the time of us being together and trying so hard to make it work because that's what my flesh wanted and I really sought God for answers, he took me to luke 14:33 in the MSG translation (which i literally never read) and it said "Simply put, if you’re not willing to take what is dearest to you, whether plans or people, and kiss it good-bye, you can’t be my disciple." and i legit burst into tears because i felt God directly speak to me to let go. Over a year later God has satisfied me for than anyone could and has not disappointed me

There's people that aren't ready to be on a relationship.. it can be for them not being mature enough for it or even cured themselves from other problems, like depression, anxiety, abuse that this person have suffered in the past and so on.
God can definitely support your relationship, but by yourself you have to be responsible of your actions, you're a serve of God.
Not being on a relationship and being SUPER INSECURE because you didn't solved your neediness.

When I got here I was in a 6 month relationship with a woman that I loved dearly, but her passion and love for God just wasn’t quite where I was, she was a new Christian and she still believed in performing witchcraft. This is the first time in my life I’ve really taken my faith extremely serious and it happens to be during my longest relationship to date. The girl I’m with is Christian but doesn’t practice it. I’ve been making strides at getting her involved with her faith in Christ and it has shown improvements in our relationship, however everyday is still a battle. I often have thoughts on if it is the right one, but what gives me more hope is knowing that the longer we stay together, the more she will know what God’s love is doing in hers and my life. I really think that the most important aspect of this situation is just getting her closer to God. If we end up staying together and being married that’s great, however what’s really important is our salvation and at least right now I think that is what God is calling me to do. Keep God involved and let him do what he does.
Just remember you cannot force her. You cannot “get her” closer to God.

I fall short some times and text me ex to let her know somethings that i have been doing in life since the break up like no porn or sex for 111 days now and still going quit drinking for 2 weeks now my next 3 things is stop smoking cussing and get on a no meat diet and just keep going from there. Hey Bro! This is really good stuff and really just speaking into this season. Recently, we broke up and i was just really questioning things, it's a good reminder man. Thank you for being so filled with spirit that the Lord can work through you.
My last relationship was 8 months long. I was already planning on being with her forever. It was so full of abundant joy, and at first, we both looked to the Lord for guidance. But slowly sin and lies crept into our relationship. I couldn't see it, but we were living in such sin and deceit. Was I in love with her? Yes of course. Do I miss her? Yes, just about every day. Did we make the right choice to break up? Yes, we did. I think Montell said this in another video, that it is okay to cry after you make the right decision. I feel such loneliness and longing, but I will still praise the name of the Lord.

For anyone wanting to have marriage it will come soon just be patient. Know that marriage is also a marriage with God himself. I am going through the same thing right now, but I thank God for bringing me closer to Jesus and to himself. Turning my direction to God during this time has also helped me remove a certain somebody who I really liked and talked for 10 months. I now see that God was teaching me a lesson and now I know what kind of potential partner to avoid. God will give you the answer just keep praying and glorify Him

I went through a breakup with a guy who was my first love, last year. We had plans on marriage and starting a family. It didn't end up working out and it shattered me. I've been on the journey of healing. At first I was so upset, asking God why it had to end. As time went on I finally relized why it had to. It was not a godly relationship at all. We both meet eachother where we didn't understand or know God. As time went on, we were going on a seperate journey of understanding God. Other things happened that also broke our relationship. Something new I'm starting to do, slowly by slowly is trusting God and letting Him take the wheel of my life. Surrendering it. I'm okay with being alone again. All we really need is God, He is sufficient and enough. Should be number 1 in our lives :))

I feel you , I know I struggle man. I have a whole wife out here committing adultery as I type this and if you met her she will quote nearly every scripture in the world and tell you how she has so much faith in god for all these things, but she is cheating on me with another so called Christian guy. So as much as I try to have that Christ like love and forgiveness and pray and fast and say I know my heart not right , I’m human and the way I feel I can’t help even though I keep saying is I don’t want to feel this way, but it’s hard checking your ego and pride when someone is blatantly doing your wrong when you doing all you can to reconcile, but aye it’s a hard struggle to stay faithful in Christ when you have every feeling saying this is not right. I know I know my feelings are not right, but it’s really how I feel.

Matthew Small I actually went through with divorcing her, and the final straw was due to that she called me one night and said she wanted to reconcile, and asked could we have lunch the next day.
I agreed she tells me she has been praying and the Holy Spirit presses upon her about her sin, and she prayed asked for forgiveness and said god instructed her to reconcile with her husband.....
I agreed, and told her it will be hard, but with god we can do this.
A week later in front of her family she tells everyone that I am just her friend.
So I said I promptly said whoa that’s no where in the conversations we’ve been having and we are still wearing our wedding rings, and instead of arguing in front of them I asked to go outside.
She basically said in so many words she doesn’t know if she heard from God and doesn’t really want to be with me, because she doesn’t love me anymore, and that the only reason she would come back to me is out of fear that god will punish her, and since she doesn’t think god will she would rather not be with me.
After that I prayed and said to god I’m done with her in so many words and whatever covenant we had.
Of course after the divorce she made many attempts to get back with me, and even said that after the divorce a veil was removed off of her eyes, and that being divorced and losing her family wasn’t what she thought it would be, and she wants us back.
She even came up pregnant for the guy. She even said the guy was crazy and said once that he thought he was God or Jesus or something like that.
I still care for her and pray for her, but watching her since the divorce has been sad because it’s like my wife has went out to the world and is playing the whore. She’s been sleeping with so many men, and I know cuz she tells me. Plus my daughter tells me too.
Mr. G sir, I can’t imagine the pain that must cause you. I can sit here and quote scripture very easily but to actually face something head on like that... God has definitely placed a lot of strength and maturity within you. I am very happy that you are actually still praying for her because that’s the mark of a true Christian. I pray that you will heal and that God will give you the desires of your heart according to His Will.
