- A little quick trip to Sycamore Island. In the Previous years th is pond almost completely dried out and a large population of the fish died off. Wasnt sure how the fishing was going to be. Found out this pond still has some big ones.

Bass at sycamore should be catch and release only. Theres barely any fish in those ponds
Theres less fish now after the fish die off during the drought. I remember it got to a puddle and there were so many dead bass around

lol, i didnt bring my board. I always have a scale though. but i would guess somewhere between 23-24" the fish are pretty long in this pond

All my spinnerbaits, small paddletail swimbaits, bladed jigs/chatterbaits i throw them on my 6 gear ratio

I use an external battery pack. Pretty cheap one from amazon

Have you tried a foot remote for the motor? Considering getting one but if you think they’re not useful that would be great to know.
I have not, at first i was going to get the foot control for my Xi3 but my buddy John ended up getting 2. Both had issues, wouldnt respond or it had a delayed response. He ended up returning both of them so i decided not to get the foot control for this motor.

Im not picky on brand for my wieghts. But for my california rigs i like a 1/4oz-3/8oz tungsten.

I got some copper heads that came rigged wrong out of the package. When I fixed the snap, the bait kept washing out. Have you had that issue?
