Dang, brings back memories, I created the VR program and Models for this when I worked at PERA back in the 90's (needed a $1m SGI Onyx computer in the day, this was real-time 3d program (not an animation), state of the art for them time)
Very informative, and stunning to see this famous ecclesiastical structure return to glory in this computer visualization. Absolutely remarkable, and regrettable, that so little of it remains to behold today.
neat. with how detailed and life like video games have become.. it would be cool to see some rich guy donate the cash to make a 60 minute educational film simple story/rpg animated game ( sorta like a tell tail game i guess. but just using rules of life, goal to survive and build a cathedral or something. hmm ok, id be happy with a animated film.. )and add simple story like game play.. for such a project in a midieval city. yeah not something that would sell well.. but man i would enjoy it.. could make it a simple RPG so the midieval town could have a fare day assuming the king would give us a charter.. we would leave that up to the abbot to get., heh. thanks for sharing. i found this interesting none the less.
Beautifully told and presented, lived in this amazing town for over thirty years and still learning about its rich history.
Love it here, Thank you,
I heard the market trader shouting out; “come an’ get yer’ flowers, all the colours of the rainbow”…….

This is very interesting. My 12th great grandpa was born in Bury St Edmunds in 1530:)
Nice job. We’ll done!
Its good. I think I alittle medieival music in the back ground would really finish it nicely
amazing
One correction of the text above is that the original VR model was created using OpenFlight, not VRML. My mistake - sorry.
Yes is was built by me using Multigen Creator (file format was OpenFlight) the program was written in OpenGL/SGi Performer and Vega Prime)

Quite nice, and thank you!
Why would have your tooth pulled out
Because there was no treatment for cavities or infections. Pulling it out was the only way to treat the pain.
