What do you mean? The sticker CLEARLY says it's a Fiero

@@AspectLegend1 Well either way is ok. Like I said. Back then You could order a Fiero from the dealer with the Mera package. They would then send the car to corporate concepts and basically rebody the car with a 308 body. Ferrari soon followed up with a cease and desist.

Bit disappointed that the local spectators and trackside vendors didn't turn out in force for this one, but I'm guessing they will as the racing season progresses. There looks to be plenty of room for a chair lift to take fans up to the top, and some great cliff side vantage points. Maybe an intrepid developer could build a restaurant into the mountain side with a viewing deck overlooking the course below?

I totally agree! The loop at the end added A LOT to the commentary as well as some tooth clenching moments when they’d just squeak by each other!

Happy you guys are back, love the channel. Gotta point out the obvious, I think I'm gonna miss the crossing section at the end of the old track, it provided a lot of great action and commentary. I'm looking forward to the new season!
Agree. The wreck commentary was epic.
My first thought as well. I will not criticize the effort the D's made as this is a big impressive track, but i think the track lost some personality this time. Theres more track and less of the stuff in in diorama that made you forget these are die cast cars.The jughandle loop at the end was always really good entertainment, the invariably present crashes and flips played so well into the commentary while reminding you that these are in fact tiny toy cars. The old finish (the whole diorama, really) reminded me of playing with die cast cars as a kid but on a scale I could never have accomplished at 10. And It definitely ended the race better than them just rolling off screen right.

@@Mechagnostic Agree. I was thinking that they would probably be adding more detail to the whole setup as they go along, these guys are really good, seem pretty committed to detail. Who knows, maybe we'll even get the crash section back in the future.

A Pontiac Fiero enters the Ferrari Tournament and now a Ferrari enters the Pontiac Fiero Tournament, a payback treat!
It’s not a Ferrari it’s a Pontiac Mera. Totally legit.

@@1989worms1 they probably didnt know tbf - its a pretty rare car that was discontinued due to a lawsuit from ferrari
@@killerkon141 I searched yesterday on Google and Pontiac Mera has some Ferrari logos in it and that's the reason why Pontiac got a lawsuit from Ferrari.
@@1989worms1 it was a case and desist from Ferrari. The originals had its own Mera logos. Individuals would replace the badges on their own as they were so close in design. And yes very rare car. Only 239 units were ever produced. So yes it’s very doubtful 2d knows about the car. To most it is just a kit car but it is not considered one. It is really a pretty interesting story. We have one in our local Fiero club. It is a gorgeous example one.

My initial impression is that the old track had more character. I realize this is the first race, but I think there was an added element of excitement with the intersection that will be missing here. Plus, what is the availability of tofu?

Great to see you back, great race. Echoing what some others have said though, I'm missing the intersection. I also think the pitlane/garages section feels a little empty compared to the old track. Makes me realise you crammed a lot of stuff in the old track!!!
Want to point out I did notice the waiver stand, that's a cool new addition. Just wanting to give some feedback, still great work nonetheless, I know it's the first race and the old track slowly evolved overtime so I expect the same to happen here
Yeah. I miss the Formosa Memorial Park Fountain, and of course the guardrail on McClyde straight. (Race in Peace McClyde.)
Great to see the new track is finished and in action! But is it better than the old track - I'm not convinced yet, but we'll need to see a few more races?
Always impressed with the tracks you make!!! I know as the episodes come in more detail will be put into the aesthetics and surroundings.

At first I thought that this is dumb. But, the design of the track, excellent scenery and constant variation of elements of the race that even showed gaining of leads and various wrecks was great entertainment. Well done guys ! Do more of this racing.
I do miss the tunnel at the end. That made for some great end of race wrex. I still like the old track better but love the 3D/2D duo. Actually hoping for a new dope DRC track that produces sick air-time. Crazy James- you know what I’m talking about.

Welcome back - been waiting for your awesome races to start up again - can't say I love the new track as it seems a bit more "barren" than the last one but perhaps you'll be adding stuff to it and tweaking it a bit as you move through the season.
