The other is Blue, from the future where bio-engineering lets plants time travel. It's a book where they each write the other poems, in a cat-vs-mouse thing which slowly gets romantic. If I had time travel, I’d go back in time to the Carboniferous era and study all the plants there. And then I would find a cave and write down all of my findings for future generations to find and be super confused by, did I mention it would also be an English?

Go back in time to before a famous archeological site, say King Tut's tomb, was discovered. Sneak in there, doing as little damage as possible, and leave a cell phone in there. An cheap old one will do. Repeat for every archaeological site you can get to. Image what people would've said if the Cashel Man had Flappy Bird on his phone.
The thing about time travel is when you alter the timeline and then come back to the future you’re essentially killing the version of you who’s lived their entire life within that new timeline.
Maybe, or maybe you don't get born in the new timeline, of maybe you get back and meet the version or yourself that came from the new timeline. In either of those possibilities there's no place for you to fit back into. I can imagine a sinario where the time traveller ends up fighting themselves because they both want to be the one living with thire spouse, or having their job, etc.

But if everything Hitler is known for never happened in this timeline, then why would you in this timeline have any reason to go back and kill him? Therefore, this version of you would NOT go back in time and kill Hitler, meaning that the whole thing that started this timeline would never have occurred in the first place, which would bring you back to the original timeline in which you went back and killed Hitler! And as a result, the universe would just keep flip-flopping between these two timelines for all eternity! This is why I believe that if time travel ever becomes possible, you should only be able to observe.
That particular scenario is actually a decently well-known paradox, specifically called The Grandfather Paradox, wherein you travel back in time and kill your grandfather before he meets your grandmother, thus deleting you from existence, thus making it impossible for you to have gone back to kill him, thus bringing you back into existence, etc.
Of all things DBZ found a pretty straightforward solution for that paradox: when Trunks goes back in time to stop the androids he just creates a split in the timeline so when he goes back to the future he finds it just as he left it, so he saves a past but not his past. Consider, though, the idea that you were actually there the "first time" around, and your assassination attempt failed, causing the very future you seek to change.

If you would travel back in time to prevent a horrible event from happening you would also prevent yourself from traveling back in time because the horrible event never happened but because you didn't travel back it did happen which means it didn't happen which means it did happen ect ect. In coclusion you didn't prevent anything you just traped the entire universe in a time loop.

I remember a story of Bob Ross going back in time to help young Hitler get better at painting so that he would become a painter instead of a dictator. I also imagined a modification of that scenario where another time traveler comes back to stop Bob Ross because if Hitler doesn't kick off World War II, then the conflict between East and West heats up without the horror of nuclear weapons having already been demonstrated, so a nuclear holocaust ends up occurring instead of the Cold War.
Come to think of it there was that time travel show I can't remember what it was called were there were 2 time machines and one of them was stolen, so you had this season long chase across history with frequent stops back in the present where you know what they did had always been.

If I had time travel I’d probably stop the library of Alexandria from burning, and go back to the future to see what happens, if it isn’t good I could always ensure that it burned again.
I remember a story of Bob Ross going back in time to help young Hitler get better at painting so that he would become a painter instead of a dictator. I also imagined a modification of that scenario where another time traveler comes back to stop Bob Ross because if Hitler doesn't kick off World War II, then the conflict between East and West heats up without the horror of nuclear weapons having already been demonstrated, so a nuclear holocaust ends up occurring instead of the Cold War.

Come to think of it there was that time travel show I can't remember what it was called were there were 2 time machines and one of them was stolen, so you had this season long chase across history with frequent stops back in the present where you know what they did had always been.
