I liked that show but the sheer audacity of the hypocrisy her husband showed pissed me off. He was cheating the ENTIRE time on a REGULAR BASIS. She did it once and he couldn't forgive and expressed such anger. Yet wanted her to forgive every damn time

@@marquisharrell2555 Skyler's right. By the end of Season 3, they were DONE with each other and almost started the divorce, then right in that moment, Zora came back and they used her as an excuse to once again bury their problems.

If you watch the show, they should have broken it off long before this. She was always manipulating and coercing him to do things. I think he felt emasculated by her. He cheated in his more immature days years before. He grew up a lot. She was still playing manipulative games. He did get emotionally to close to a secretary. But didn’t really go there. But it was more than just the cheating between them.
Even in this scene you see her crying “Of course it’s over with him,” like she’s devastated. As soon as he leaves the room, she calls the guy and tells him she has “information” on her husband’s family.
Carissa messed up. I couldn't stand her character. But Jacob messed around on her their entire marriage and begged for mercy every time. The last affair being with the church secretary. Most of the time, forgiveness with infidelity is never a revolving door with men and women. I miss this show

Jacob has done worse BUT he changed. He stepped up and became the man he needed to be. I can see his frustration because after all of that, she brought up the past to cover up her bad decision. I’d be on her side if she would’ve confessed with out blame because at that point there was nothing to blame but herself because he wasn’t doing bad anymore.
Again I recognize that Jacob has done FAR worse, but he’s apologized and changed. Carissa has been the same mean ole nasty women fighting for power.

This show was so good
she expected him to be like “oh cool you gave me chlamydia. Alright see you later honey.” When Jacob said he never gave her a disease that let me know that while Jacob was wrong for his past infidelity at least he wrapped up. Klerissa just out here raw dogging this Fernando for money and a house. Not too mention she literally sold their land away to H&h with no guilt. I personally believe if she just said it was a one time thing or she made a mistake and was std free then he would’ve been mad but not hurt enough to divorce her. I truly think she got caught up in the moment and the thought of her being human or making mistakes like Jacob probably baffled her bc who wants to be a hypocrite so she blows his past back at him. She CHOSE to stay and honestly she can’t say it’s revenge cheating because who tf revenge cheats years later? Personally I feel klerissa only put up with Jacob for the money she could’ve cheated on him with anyone but as soon as a guy gives her money suddenly she open for business like Fernando was spitting the weakest creepiest game and she just let him bang her. This was a pretty good series. I had to learn that there isn't anythinh random, by chance, coincidence, or mistake when it comes to God. Jacob grew up in a very dysfunctional home. I think the point of this series was to highlight trauma, pain, dysfunction in family and in the church. And when you refuse to address, ackbowldge, and deal with it properly. It just keeps getting worse and worse and worse. And all it does is have a negative impact on the children, children's children, and so on and so forth. God purposed Grace to be the individual who had the courage and strength to speak up against these things openly and honestly. HE gave her the ability to be the one to stop the trauma, generational curses, and sins that were passed down from generation to generation. I didn't realize it then but I have discovered that is what God is doing in families in this season. HE has also raised up people to come against the dysfunction that has taken place in churches/the body of CHRIST for a long time now. And you can actually choose to learn a lot from each character that was brought to the forefront along the way. I think it was an excellent series, vision, and EVERYONE did a really good job executing it and carrying it out. God started highlighted many things to me about my own family around this time. Initially I told HIM, I could have made it without knowing all of that. But now that I'm starting to understand why certain things was and is being revealed to me, and how HE revealed to me the different spirits attached to our bloodline. I'm grateful that HE did. Certain things is a hard pill to swallow but we need to choose to accept it for what it is and tackle and address it head on.

This show was pretty good. But there were a few things I did not like such as the young man having HIV. And the fact that there was always trouble. I don’t like the way people write stuff for Black people. I don’t care of the person who wrote this was black, which it probably was for the most part.
And that’s why I don’t get why women don’t leave the first time. Because when you cheat back they are quick to end it and throw you out, but expect you to stay when they do it! What a hypocrite of a man he is, he’s such a man child and never grew up.

It's wrong for anybody to cheat in the relationship/marriage but when the WOMAN cheats that's the end of it. Men are depositors and and women are receptors. So when a man sleeps with another woman, he just dropped off a load. But when a woman sleeps with another man she takes on the spirit of that man which puts her husband's spirit in competition with the other man's spirit inside her. It's not fair nor right but it is DIFFERENT when the woman cheats.
