Hey biaheza. With day trading lots of strategies are actually equal to 50/50 chances or even less. The reason they work is because after they place a trade they place a stop loss so if the stock doesnt go their way it cuts their losses. But when the stock does go their way they let it run and their winners more than make up for the losing trades. So if you are placing 6 trades with a 50/50 chance. Lets say each trade u enter for 10 bucks. You set your stop loss at 10% for each trade, for your three losing trades you only lose 3 dollars. For your winning trades lets say u set a take profit at 50% for your 3 winning trades you make 15 bucks. 15-3 leaves u with 12 bucks of profit, with only the same odds as flipping a coin.
These videos are made just for that. The ads about trading are very expensive and its basically one of the best topics to win big with videos on youtube
I appreciate you making this video and these videos showcase the Best unbiased view on the Social Media Trading Community which no one has even thought to make. My dad told me along time ago that used to put the paper up on the wall and throw darts at it in those pics it’s all analyst. You did pretty much the exact same thing and prove that nothings changed in the last 70 years
There are many studies about this actually, trading is so random that even flipping a coin you will end up with same results as "professionals" the way to make money is just win more than you lose so even if you get 50% right you will still be in a profit
I beg to differ. I algorithmically day trade and swing trade, and usually only play 2-1 and 3-1 setups, and my win rate is typically around 40%. My default expectation coming into trades is that I will lose. Expectancy is a function of your win rate, your trading frequency, and your risk reward. Not just your win rate. You make money in this game if you can control all of the following over years at a time without worrying about drawdowns (which will come unless you're an elite level tape scalper): Consistency (I do this using an algorithm written in python with interactive brokers. It's roughly 4000 lines of code.) Emotional Control (Most of you will lose exclusively due to a lack of this) Entry Criteria (Why you got into the trade. Hopefully a reason that combines fundamentals, technicals, and price action) Trade Structure (How you actually execute the trade and which asset you use) RIsk Management (Arguably most important. Hit your stops every singe time, don't over lever, and don't lose too much in any given day or week) And also, don't even fucking bother with any of this nonsense unless you have money to trade. >50k if we're talking trading equities or options, and that needs to be 50k of throw away money. Okay. Good luck to all of you!!

Im a forex trader and this does show on the markets I see it as a probabilities game. For example, this coin flip is a strategy and I would add confluence such as if the markets at green or red for that day you take a trade-in its direction or pre-market or the overall bias and that would help you in the long run.
Congratulations, you just found out the reason why many traders only do a style of trading that involves several days, weeks, even months. The price of a financial instrument in a day is too random to be traded, therefore it is a gamble.
Thank you Biaheza for posting this video! I'm currently in the process of creating a financial literacy/signal service company that will most likely do something similar to most of these businesses. However, my business focuses on the education side of the stock market. After all, most of these businesses don't provide the reasoning behind their trades which makes them a little sketchy. For future videos, try signaling services with education opportunities members. Most likely, the "traders" of those services will have more credibility and knowledge behind the trades they're making and the reasoning behind them.
Theoretically the chance if winning a trade from the coinflip is 50%. You took 16 trades out of which 11 won. Flipping a coin is 50/50 so winning 11 times out of 16 comes down at a 12.22% chance. Would be interesting to see how this would go long term as the curve equals out.
Okay Biaheza You’re doing some interesting stuff here. I am not by any mean a financial advisor or stock/option trader. I am a scientist and an entrepreneur. Here’s my opinion you could’ve done better on the coin flip if you adjust it this why. You have a 50% chance to win and a 50% chance to lose. So, when you set your profit to +10% and your loss to a -10% that means when you have a 100 trades and let’s say you profit 10$ per trade to keep it simple math here and so you profit 500$ from the winning trades and you lose 500$ from the losing trades. That means on the long run statistically speaking it’s a zero sum game. Here’s a suggestion you can set your target profit per trade to 10% and your loss per trade to 5% percent. Now going back to the 100 trade example you win 50 trades and lose 50% but now if you make 10$ profit per trade you make 500$ and if you lose 5$ per losing trade you lose only 250$ so you always have an edge of 25% on the market which means on the long run you always makes money.
honestly if this dude did the coin flip strategy but with a 5% stop loss instead with the same 10% TP, bro he could potentially make some serious bag by playing the 50/50 odds

They just throw risk management right out the windoe and end up blowing accounts on yolo plays. You can have only a 30% win rate and still make money trading if your average RRR is high enough.
