0:24 I sure every Dragon Prince Fan shouted out "I KNEW IT!!!" at this very moment, even after the creators and directors lied to us and denied the soul swapping idea happening
Good afternoon @, I found Cartoon Universe video interview that the creators wanted to answer that nagging question since Season 1 and in Season 5 there were hints about the e body switch.
The timing of revealing this now…it feels like it could’ve been done sooner. Like, it reminds me of How Spider-Man 3 Should Have Ended video, when the Butler told Harry how his father actually died, that it wasn’t Peter’s fault, and Harry outright fires him, saying that he knew this whole time since the first movie - for years - and didn’t bother telling him. He took a grenade to the face for crying out loud!
Yeah, we knew it since season 1. Viren wanted him to switch bodies with a volunteer to avoid death, but he refused. Viren probably switched him with the pet bird against his will.
Viren is gonna be cursed at for turning Harrow into a bird without the King's consent. Callum might have conflicted feelings about doing the same thing to Ezran
I feel that this was unnecessary and doesn't explain many things leading up to it. It's nice that fans feel validated about the theory confirmation, but it doesn't work in hindsight with the series, at least for me. I'll try to explain why. 1. Judging by the fact that Harrow squawked, it implies that he swapped minds with the bird and could still be a fully sentient human in that case. It would've been more plausible if the bird in Harrow's body didn't squawk. Since he did, it's likely the two of them both fully switched sentience. In that case, why didn't he fly back to Ezran and Callum in season 1? They were in more peril than ever with moon shadow assassins around and Viren taking over. If he did find them, he could've tried to find means of communication by using his beak and feet to try to write something down. Then, once the boys are aware of his presence, Ezran could start trying to talk with him. (Since he can talk to animals. Which would also be a surprise to Bird Harrow) There wouldn't be any communication problems at all! Why didn't he fly to go find them? 2. What other people in the comments haven't asked yet is, why didn't Viren tell anyone? I know he was evil for seasons 1 and 2, but what about his so-called redemption, where he had nothing to hold back and nothing to gain to tell them that Harrow is still alive and he saved him with the serpent? Demonstrating his remorsefulness, I guess he didn't care to mention that Harrow, his friend he wronged and most likely swapped their bodies without his consent, is alive and they could rescue the king. It doesn't add up and he should've mentioned it.
I think he didn’t mention it because of the same reason he didn’t give the papers he wrote about the hole truth to soren. They needed all there strength to defeat aaravos I don’t think them hearing about their dead father being alive would’ve been a good idea at the time taking them out of focus. Also he didn’t mention it in the first seasons since he wanted to be king. Saying the king was alive would’ve ruined his plan.
@DAOM7 I suppose so. I just felt that it in retrospect doesn't really put Viren in a good light for his redemption if he knew that before he went he'd be leaving his friend stuck as a bird forever. He had no way of knowing they would eventually find out by Runaan escaping the cursed coin. If anything, I think he would trust the boys to be mature enough to understand that they need to delay their own personal feelings for a little while until the greater good as Rayla did with her parents. I also feel that Harrow would've at least wanted to watch over them as a bird.
It's like when people post fake spoilers in the comments of reaction videos. The creators, no doubt said that to trick us; so that we might be surprised by the truth later on
Tbh I’ve been surprised to see so many people acting like this came out of nowhere. There have been some VERY strong hints over the years, even from the way King Harrow’s “death” was written in episode 3. I always knew there had to be a reason they made a big deal about the soulfang serpents and never showed the end of Viren and Harrow’s exchange. Also, Viren’s dream in season 5 pretty much spelled it out for us that Viren was being haunted by his decision to swap Harrow and Pip’s souls. I kinda felt gaslit by the fandom and the creators because so many people acted like this was such a crazy and unserious theory. They’ve been setting it up from the start though.
I can’t believe that theory turned out to be true! I mean, I knew there had to be a reason we never saw Harrow after his conversation with Viren, but this!
i knew it from the start i saw the bird i already know all of it but i did not know that the bird will gone missing.....guys we are having 3 more SEASON👏👏👏🙌🙌💛
I enjoyed this season, but that was one stupid twist. This reveal undermines the emotional crux of the first two seasons. Here's how it should have been. Ezran: Did my father have any final words? Runaan: We had a short conversation. It seems your father knew nothing about the survival of the Dragon King's egg, because he asked forgiveness in it's smashing. When I revealed to him that the egg lived and was apparently on it's way back to it's mother by way of three young fools, he seemed startled, than saddened by something. He than set fourth a warning and a request. The warning that not to trust the one called Viren; the manipulator who seeks power above all, even at the cost of those he claims to love. The request was simple. Harrow allowed his heart to be overrun by anger and hatred, slaying the Dragon King by his own hand, and for that he acknowledged his deserved fate. Because the Dragon egg lived, however, his simple request was that I spare his sons' lives, as they were innocent boys.
To be fair, Harrow never returned to Ezran despite being a bird. It could be the soul switch did not work and it merely created a new sentient bird who is wise and kind. Harrow and Pip died but a new individual was born.
So his last words is "Squak"??? Wait, his soul has been transformed to bird for a long time ago! Viren, You idiot! But thank you to save him but how he going to return to his body somehow???
@TheDarkLordoftheSiff The circumstances between Harrow and Runaan are different. Runaan's body and mind were trapped in a coin. Harrows soul was swapped with pip and as you recall Viren burned his body. So unless Callum can pull out some magic where he can recreate Harrows body then he's stuck as a bird.
@@khakihades8876 Callum flat out said the spell he used REUNITED bodies with lost souls, Runaans body was lost and callum had to bring it back with Runaana soul, a feather, blood, a bone, a fire, a root and a Quazar Diamond. Harrows soul has been seperated from his body and that body was destroyed so Callum would need to do that spell again and use the last Quazar diamond to do so
They had 3 more seasons planned (Arc 3). But since they haven’t gotten confirmation from Netflix this could actually be the last season. They said more info about the confirmation would be revealed later on or in the san diego comicon thats why they left an open ending
Callum: my mother was killed by your father, Your mother sends assassins to kill my step father but he lived and turns a bird. Zym: That’s rough buddy.
which is why it was good since it they made it more sooner than it won't surprise us much taking too long would eventually make us believe he died for real until they gave us the twist we have always speculated
@@bmeenu9 I disagree, it feels like this reveal was too late. I mean the show is over. Maybe they'll continue the story in a different type of media like making more books but with how this final Season was handled, I've honestly lost any interest I had with seeing what would come next from this franchise. I just don't care anymore.
To be fair, Harrow never returned to Ezran despite being a bird. It could be the soul switch did not work and it merely created a new sentient bird who is wise and kind. Harrow and Pip died but a new individual was born.
I won't lie I was very neutral about the theory of King Harrow and Pip switching places, but now that we know it's true. THEY HAVE TO GIVE US ARC 3, there's so many things that can happen and this is one f them we won't let Netflix slide. ARC 3 NETFLIX!!!! NOW!!!!
Harrow accepted his death, so it doesnt make sense that he would want to be a bird and escape. Besides, Bird Harrow would have stayed to fight the assassins instead of flying out the window
While I understand the feeling, I actually don't think that it undo everything. In fact, I think Ezran will feel angry and confuse. Think about it, he can talk to animals. His father could have told him everything and stay by his side. Instead, he left him behind with the responsibility of being king. Ezran already said he didn't want to be king so knowing his father was alive would defenetly complicated things a lot. Not to mention that he'll learn that the former king didn't want to fight back. If Ezran learns that, he's going to be very angry
@@SilverScribe85 I just feel like it doesn't work with the whole message of choosing forgiveness and love. If it wasn't the real king then Ezran doesn't have a true reason to work on forgiving Runaan, unless he really loved that bird or something. I think I would be more accepting to the idea of Harrow being in the bird if the creators hadn't specifically told us that Harrow was dead dead and not coming back. I hate being lied to. I think that's probably why I hated the twist so much. Don't get me wrong, I loved the season and I think it's my favorite, I just wished they didn't do that.
@@claireaquos6532 Yeah I can see it building on Ezran's character. Like why didn't Harrow try to be around or at least watch his boys? Did he just abandon them? What has he been doing this whole time?
Ezran grieving, becoming king, the messages to move forward from loss, death is final being a relatable concept for any to appreciate because of its permancy. All the conflict Ezran had with Runaan over him killing his father. The literal show using his death as a catalyst for the main plot. The one death in the series of a significant character that actually stuck is now being taken away. Unless you really care about the sea witch. Viren I don’t count since he had 3 deaths essentially in the show, so they milked his for all its worth. At least Viren stayed dead, but still, 2 resurrections take away from the impact. Now Hardie can’t even stay dead. Literally the only character the writers kinda had balls to kill off was Leola as a child. Though she only exists for one episode, so whatever. Oh and Karim got crushed and Archdragons died. Does anyone care?
Of course it's chances everything. Harrow's alive but they must find him and bring him back. To be honest, I don't believe this theory in the beginning.
Fans who have been watching since 2018 are freaking out!
Yes. Yes, I did
I'm certain the rest of them did too but still
I literally screamed “I KNEW HE WAS IN THE BIRD!!!”
Well no duh, we've been waiting for this moment.

Thats me!!!
I did!!😂
Everyone called this, and the creators denied it, and now it turns out they lied about it.
It's not something you confirm in interview
If they revealed it early, then it would be a spoiler
@samuelcaloracan exactly. Things like that are not something you reveal on social media or in a interview
So did I
They went to the Steven Universe school of confirming things incorrectly
It feels kinda cathartic that I was right
Hope at least someone on Team Zym acknowledges that for all intents and purposes, Viren saved Harrow
Now, we only have to hope that Harrow wouldn't be intentionally getting eaten by some stray predator or hunted by some careless poachers.
I was shocked that to learn that King Harrow actually swapped bodies after seeing visual hints and reading interview materials.
Viren did by force
He did that two headed soul sucking snake whatever dirty.
can u explain? i didnt understand, is that why they said we have a bird to find?
Good afternoon @, I found Cartoon Universe video interview that the creators wanted to answer that nagging question since Season 1 and in Season 5 there were hints about the e body switch.
I just love Runaans face at 00:32 and hearing him squak😂
Actully years ago someone made a theory video about King Harrow and his bird, swaping places thanks to Viren and the two headed cobras🐍🐍🦅👑
Maybe that was a bird. Maybe the king is live, and he's still out there, somewhere and somehow
Which means we NEEEEED Arc 3 to get the green light
Let's hope he's not being _hunted_ by poachers, or _eaten_ by some predators.
I knew it!!! I knew it!!! I seriously knew it!!!
Thank you so much for the validation writers!

Or Viren ambushed Harrow with the Soulfang Serpent.
I CALLED IT, THERE WAS WAY TOO MUCH FOCUS ON THE BIRD NOT TO BE A PLOT TWIST
I FUCKING KNEW IT
That king took viren's opinion and swapped bodies with a bird. Viren gave the king a solution in the very first episode
Called it. All this time, they treated their dad as a pet. The writers should've included him more in the series instead of just now revealing it.
“I KNEW HE WAS IN THAT DAMN BIRD!” I scream as they drag me away

Viran did him a favor. Bird or not, at least Azran will be reunited with his father
