Mike you should sign up for the Houston Astros . Ikeep seeing you knocking all these home runs brother . Finding a cabbage patch doll was awesome but also finding a cricket doll as well with all the extras well thats one heck of a batting average on top of so many thing's you find that are worth so much it's what keeps me glued to your video's and wanting too see more . Your energy level is out the roof and going as fast as you can . That is working well for you and your intuition you have fine tuned doing this for so long . It gives me great pleasure watching you score time and time again hitting these dumpsters. Keep up the good work i love the fact that you donate things that you find to help the community always thinking of the less fortunate. Brother my hats off to you and a bow you are truly good man . One of your big time fan's Sincerely Keith Mishler
TOMY toys Carson California 1977. I used to live about a mile from the factory, we used to scavenge in their dumpsters and find plenty of decent toys, my fave was Digital Derby. Years later it would be my first place of employment.
You are a lucky person ,Mike is such a good man and one heck of an entertainer and his generosity towards others sets him apart from all the others doing the same . I would love to meet him some day .
I enjoy watching him, lols, his always talking to himself , not boring, full of vigor and life, he enjoys really what he does, Godbless this guy,, Jesus loves U...
Mike, what you have there is a Dan Tranh, a Vietnamese Zither Dan Tranh began to take shape in the Vietnamese traditional music instruments orchestras in the 11th century. In the late 13th and early 14th centuries, Dan Tranh had only fourteen strings so it was called “14-string zither”, but then by the late 1980s, Dan Tranh with 17 strings appeared, so it changed the name into “ 17-string zither” and become the standard version of this instrument. Larger zither with 22, 24 and 25 strings have also been made in the 1980s and 1990s. Dan Tranh is a plucked zither of Vietnam, which has a curved shape. The soundbox consists of a curved top plate, a flat bottom plate, and six side-pieces. From the axis to the position connecting strings, there are some movable bridges. The higher their position, the smaller their size is. The strings are made of steel and have varying diameters. They are tuned to the pentatonic scale. Performers usually wear picks made of metal, plastic, or tortoise-shell to pluck the strings.
the wood instrument is a Koto it was first made in the 16th century. they sound really good if played by someone who has had alot of playing experience and practice
So envious of the Barbie tote and the Tomy wind-ups. Most of the dolls look to be 80s. The outfits and accessories are probably more valuable than the dolls themselves, but all together, they'd make a heck of an ebay lot. The cardboard backdrop may fetch $10 or so, by itself, since paper parts are usually the first to get destroyed.
One more thing brother, I was going to tell you on stuffed animals and stuff that are older you can check them for lumps. LOL, I guess the older folks used to hide their valuable items inside the stuffed animals, they actually sew them in. I watched a show where they were going to demolish an old house, and it had like 50 or so old stuffies in it, and they started searching them for signs like lumps to find valuables, they found some seriously valuable stuff, and one really, really expensive pearl necklace. Just another feather in your cap for keeping an eye out for that kind of thing. :)
Those little Things with the Carussell need to go in to those slides on the Carussell ...you put little candles in them and light them and the Heat makes the whole Thing turn around. I have a X-mas one and as it goes around it plays X-mas Songs.
Haha, I was one of them, I think that I stood in line for over an hour. My daughter who’s passed away now really loved it. I would do it again for her.
I got my first "Xavier Cabbage Patch Doll" (signed on their bottom) about 37 years ago to date at the Roses Department Store in Camden, SC... Yes, I got one of the first ones out and stood in line Forever! I think I had accumulated about 6 of the authentic CP dolls before we downsized in 2012! . FYI, The CP type in this vid looks to me to be a homemade doll from a kit. Not sure if there's any value there or not.
Dolls are definitely collectable. ..I think cabbage patch big time..check brasserie box..looks very old and boxes are collectable. Love just hanging out while you do this!!
Mike i would have those pearls checked out by a reputable jeweler you just never know the value of the little treasures you find . Have a great day brother.
I have been watching several of your videos and this one has your truck looking new. So two years later your truck looks like it has 6 years of wear and tear on it piling it full of scrap. BIG time depreciation y'all. I bet you open and close the drivers door like 200 times per day. How are those hinges?
Wow just wow! You are living under a lucky star. The items you find. Good job!! To check if a real cabbage patch doll, look on the bottom. Will have Xavier name and the date the doll was made (born). Thanks for sharing.
That instrument is called a koto. It is a traditional Japanese instrument and very beautiful when played well. I once dropped one on stage at a concert I was working and somehow kept my job. Not my proudest moment.
3 boys not a lot. My parents had 15 kids. At least 6 or 7 young enough for gifts. We had big messes at Easter and Christmas. It was great growing up in a big family.
Fisher price museum is in western NY. It was the home of the company.😊 not weeble wobbles they were smaller and egg shaped. I think Fisher Price started making their little people bigger when too many kids were ingesting the people and choked on them. All very collectible now!
Does the cabbage patch dolls have cloth faces? They may be the original cabbage patch dolls! Those are worth money! And the little red riding hood/ wolf doll is called a topsy turvy doll, she may be worth a few bucks also!
Oh man I wrote about the mushroom thing before I saw the dolls. My sister had that Cricket doll ,I so remember her playing with it. I'd love to buy that to.
Hi Mike,I am one of your fun.You make me smile and I have watched all your videos. You are harworking,so funny and a nice guy.I also bought your Gotta Be Strong shirt.Thank you for your awesome videos!!
Hi Mike, i like to watch especially cubside picking, and your funny, your the best ,keep those cubside coming..i wish you could number your videos, take care buddy.
Remember the TV show Family Affair. The little girl on the show had a doll named Mrs.Beasley that resembled the Cricket doll. Same time frame. The children in the show were cared for by an English Butler named Mr French.😊
My parents used to play with those Fisher Price people when they were kids, then my older siblings did and eventually I did when I was a kid. I still remember those things I used to call them deodorant people because they're shaped like aerosol cans lol
Sometimes it makes me crazy, the things you DON'T grab. The stereo and the " Time out Chair?" Sell, sell, sell that stuff. 😬 I really cannot believe the things people just throw in the trash. I wonder if they're hoping someone picks it up, like you.
I certainly do. Actually here at my apartment we donate things by simply leaving them beside the dumpster. I just found a bunch of big framed prints, vacuum cleaner, TV & DVD player. Sunday night i helped pick 2 lawnmowers, 3 weedwhackers, some kind of heavy converter a couple of crap kids bikes & so on. That was one house too.
