I was there for a month in 2019, pretty much made the same walk a lot. My daughter lives in Hanau Steinheim, and my other daughter lives near Berger Strasse in Frankfurt. I did a lot of trains too and from Hanau. The market open on Saturday in the square where the Bruder Grimm statue is, was the best. I also lived in Gelnhausen, and stationed in Budingen in the late 1990's.
Thanks for sharing your story, friend! Yes, Hanau is pretty interesting city, especially with it's background of Brothers Grimm. Berger Straße is definitely one of my favs neighborhood in Frankfurt and I used to live there also for one year. Thanks for watching! :)
Great job on this video! I know exactly how hard it is to plan walks, film them, edit them and share them with the world. I really appreciate you doing this and will continue to watch more!
Was stationed there in the 80's . A lot has changed since then . Would love to go back someday . How about a walk from the Marktplatz out to Lamboystasse to Hessen Hamburg .
Thanks for your comment 🙏🏼 i believe also many has changed. I lived in Hamburg for one year, if someday i visit Hamburg, i will try to make the videowalk. Thanks again for your support 😊
@@TRAVEL-IN-GERMANY Hessen Hamburg was the name of the US miltary koserne in Hanua . It is apartments now i think . Its on Lamboy Strasse . I walked from there into downtown Hanau many , many times .
That whole Plaza has change so much since I was last stationed there 95-98 at Hutier Kaserne. I went back there for a visit back in 2020 during the height of the pedemic. The bus stop is totally different and new.
Just think during the Cold War you would have seen American military people off-duty walking around with their families. Glad that waste of money is mostly over with!
Thanks for the video - great to see Hanau again after so many years!
Glad you like it! Thanks for visiting this channel, please give like and subscribe 🙏🏼 Thanks 😊

Yes, must be crazy time indeed. Sometimes those vets watch this video and leave comments about that time. Love to read those experiences 😊
