Glad to see a new reaction to this. It’s a violently underrated movie almost strictly because people who insist they’re “intelligent” felt the need to drag the movie in service of their ego. “I can’t understand it so it has to be a bad movie” The movie is very much all about the experience not about trying to “get it” that said it’s sucha rewatchable movie - around the 3rd time I saw it I realized that the movie in reverse is literally the sequel so then that made me fall in love with the movie.
Seeing it in IMAX the way Nolan intended was a physical experience. The action and beautiful cinematography hits different on a 7 storey screen coupled with the ground shaking IMAX sound boost. Notable highlights in IMAX include the opera siege, the plane crash, the truck hijack and the final battle.
@residentzero One of my favorite movies that came out in the most recent years, tbh Very underrated they talk about the sound mixing. But I really don't give a f*** I don't think we're supposed to gather as much information about what's happening as people like to believe. And honestly, man, when he was cast as Batman and everybody had their doubts. I told them I'm about this movie. And how awesome he was
Didn’t get it on the first watch either but that’s what’s special about it. On the first watch, you see things from the perspective of The Protagonist as you are exposed to all these events whilst grappling with these concepts thrown at you. On a second watch after learning about all the details, you see things through Neil’s perspective as he is going through these events knowing more than he’s letting on.
You have to treat the movie as a temporal pincer movement. You carry out the action of watching it, then watch it again knowing everything, in order to understand all sides.
The thing I love the most about this fucking movie is that you can rewatch and rewatch over and over again, and the most you think of, more joy you have... I truly recommend that everyone should investigate the concepts that this movie brings, cus bro, they all make sense narratively and physically. A piece of art in format of movie, and I'm glad that I did'nt give up on this experience.
Nolan is a mastermind when it comes to this. Tenet isn't as beloved as interstellar or inception, but conceptually, it's right on par with those two and maybe even more creative.
So enjoyed watching this reaction to this unique and captivating movie. Hadn't seen it for a while so it was a blast. Enjoying your channel, two reactions down and more to go. Subscribed. Hope you cover lots of genres. 🕊☮
It’s my favorite or one of my all-time favorite movies. I’ve seen it dozens of times. Someone even uploaded a backwards copy on YT. Not sure if it’s still around but I watched that too. 😂 I wish it had been in 3D. There are tons of gems for those who enjoy really thinking through this stuff. A simple example is that Neil, who was waiting for the Protagonist to tell him it was safe to take Kat into the airport building, actually entered BEFORE the Protagonist told him to…due to being inverted. Another nugget is the theory that Neil is Kat’s son, all grown up.
The concept was really interesting. It's up there with inception in terms of time manipulation and bending your brain. Visually, it was incredible as well, just a bit confusing. Thanks for watching!!
Hey Buddy, It's impossible to follow the first time (on purpose). The more you watch it, the more fun it is and the more sense it makes. Also, Neil is MaximiLIEN (maybe) *Makes the whole movie even cooler when you realize this is probably the case. And why Niel cares so much about protecting Kat.
This is my first video of yours and I loved it. It’s also my first time watching a reaction of this movie, so watching you try and put the story together was great. Even if it was a bit confusing at times haha. It reminded me much of my initial watch!
There’s one question I have about tenet. The theory is that The Protagonist, after all the events of the movie occurs, founds the tenet organization to recruit himself in the past to save the world and so on… you understand the theory. But how would he found the tenet organization in the future if it already exists? He recruits himself in the past, but why would his past self have to found tenet if it already exists?
No matter how many times I try to understand this movie, I just end up lost again. I've accepted that I won't get everything, and that's okay. Still a cool movie to watch.
enjoyed the reaction, not many ppl reacted to tenet tbh also if u liked rob pattinson as neil u should probably watch the batman (2022) im assuming u haven't seen it since u called him edward when he appeared on screen. and yea he did play edward in twilight but he's much more than that, he got so much range and is probably one of the best actors working rn lol
Don't get it twisted. Nolan uses practical effects where he can and more than most. But there is an enormous amount of cgi and digital comp work in his movies.
@@sidneyjacques.I believe that is correct. Though there aren't that many VFX shots compared to his other action and VFX heavy films. There is though still digital composting work.
Hey, man, the movie was about a plot to prevent the future from destroying their own past, which is the present. Just one word: Inversion. It's not time travel. But you're going backwards through time. Like if it's 9:30 PM, it's suddenly goes to 9:29, then 9:28, and so on going back.
@@sidneyjacques. oh that's good. Nolan is also my top10 favourite director, and you should watch some of akira kurosawa, Alfred hitchcock and Martin scorsese films. They're Greatest Director of All-Time. Great director like Nolan, Fincher, Tarantino were inspired by them.

THIS MOVIE SLAPS I WATCHED ON MUTE ON AN AIRPLANE AND WAS STILL HOOKED
even on mute it would be entertaining visually.

@residentzero Don't worry. I watched it like 4 more times after.

The part that blew my mind was the wound on his arm that progressively got worse that ended up being a reverse gunshot, amaxing attention to detail
Wasn’t a reverse gunshot but was the lock pick that The Protagonist stabbed into his inverted self.
Oooh true, i havent watched the movie in a while haha@@richos07
A reverse knife stab. But point taken.

This movie can make someone's mind explode and implode simultaneously
100%. This was super confusing, but I still enjoyed it.

When you said "I have no clue what this is about," I thought to myself: "I felt that way both during and after the movie."
Still lost to this day. I just know I liked what I saw.
Has no one commented yet that Neil is the older version of the boy/her son? It blew my mind when I found that out 🤯
thats insane. I had no clue.
"I still don't know what's going on... I pray I find out. I hope it all comes together." fucking killed me. I loved this reaction

@@sidneyjacques. Agreed! Do you keep track of what you watch on Letterboxd?
I've never heard of letterboxd but I just looked it up and i might use it. it's cool to be able to keep track of what you've watched.

What the hell is going on? Perfect sum up for this movie. I had to watch it twice to get WTF was happening.
Hell yeah
Don't get it twisted. Nolan uses practical effects where he can and more than most. But there is an enormous amount of cgi and digital comp work in his movies.
I figured so, not everything can be done in camera. but I think in oppenheimer, there was 0 cgi used.

30:16 I laughed so hard at this.
He has no name just known as the protagonist
He does not sound like his father!
Movie budget was 205 million.
That's a lot of trust in a film.

I had to watch a couple videos to get a better understanding, but it's still some stuff I don't know either 😂
i only like this movie because its super weird
Do more Nolan movies
I've done 5. I plan to do the rest I haven't seen yet.
Why are you asking us… get smarter about your reactions… watch and figure it out
you should listen more closely bc you make dumb statements…
I have to unsubscribe… you a movie goer and a film watcher
I understand. no hard feelings. i aim to get better over time.
