Nice Trick.. Thank you 👌 Would it be possible to open the pdf attachment directly on a pdf reader at client end much better in the web browser itself with a similar approach?
Interesting video. But can the interaction be only via hyperlink? Are there no other technique? In this way the application is launched but there is no possibility of having feedback on the progress or on the return data. Also the application is "outside" the Business Central pages and not contained within them.
I would like to see it open some other .exe with a few parameters (notepad.exe, calc.exe or something similar). Bonus points if you can make them run as administrator.
@@Hougaard you don't have to be worried! i think we are able to learn much more cool stuff, like this fancy new c# thing^^. just kiddin' - nice video!

Ben is right, from C# I can spawn any new process I want. Run-as-administrator will prompt the Windows UAC dialog.
@@Hougaard of course Ben is right. I would still like to see you do it though :D
@@klauskaan6320 I'm worried about putting too much non-AL code on the channel. Thinking about adding a second channel for the non-AL/BC stuff.
@@Hougaard However you choose to cut it i would enjoy watching you hack away at just about anything.
