    This seems so focused on the licensing details from a Microsoft Professional perspective, but was really hoping for more of an explanation of what it was first, but maybe the fact that I am asking these questions means it is not applicable in our clientele use cases.

      @@AndyMaloneMVP But that is kind of my point. It would have been nice to have an intro that actually described Entra beyond that it was just a security product, and then you just jump into the licensing and demos. This is endemic of why people get so confused about Microsoft software: assumption that you are already aware of the product, what it does, where it falls in the ecosystem, and most importantly why someone not immersed in the subject should care about it, if it is their first time seeing, hearing or experiencing it. Not everyone is a Microsoft MVP. It may seem simple to you, but you have had how many years/decades immerse in MS ecosystem.

    • @Jason-mk3nn
      @Jason-mk3nn Місяць тому +4

      I should clarify that the endemic portion does not fall upon you, but rather that Microsoft does a crappy (insert worse word) job explaining the ecosystem to anyone other than other engineers.

      It is kind of like looking at a car for the first time. By seeing the outside, the overall nature of the looks tells you a starting point, whereas Microsoft and most tutorial approaches are looking at the middle of a Chilton guides, engine schematics, etc. before even getting an overview of if it is a car, truck, tank, semi, etc.

    Entra Suite is a perfect upgrade for customers who are using third-party security solutions instead of the Defender products yet want to get risk-based conditional access. They also get private/internet access and ID governance as bonus features. Risk-based conditional access is normally and Entra ID P2 feature and most of the cost of the E5 Security upgrade to a M365 E3. This is huge.

      It’s a new release so I don’t have one. However, it’s now official and the prices are correct, it’s currently being rolled out.

    TBH the suite should be in MS E5 or there needs to be a new SKU line E7 which then includes everything again.

    So I’m confused, are we losing these features in Entra ID unless we pay for them or are they enhanced/add on features?
    Conditional access for example, that’s currently in the Azure Tenant, is that changing or going to be behind a pay wall to use?
    I literally just woke up and trying to make heads and tails of this

      No, don't panic. It's just Microsoft bundling the extra features into a package. P1 & P2 licensing features remain unchanged :-)

      @@AndyMaloneMVP I couldn't find the pricing you showed on your video by searching the web, is this the inside info you get as MVP or am I searching in the Wrong place., What I want to know is how much it is going to cost my company if we are already on P2 and nearly all our users have Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses and also what features we get that we haven't already

    interested to know more about Global Secure Access with Private Remote Networks (my guess is quite similar with the SASE network from different vendors)

    i'm asking about we have two license one business premium apps and the other is P2 so if i want to upgrade to entra suite which license will upgrade business premium apps or P2 we have 200 user business premium that means i will buy/upgrade 200 user in entra suite + 200 user business premium
