How does your hair have so much volume before adding product? Do you have some buildup from previous days? The new formula in the plastic jar is reallly buttery and no tug at all. But the hold might not be as much.
Did you order directly from Flagship? The one I got was really hard to work with... super hard to scoop and apply :( but it still performs really good. I was thinking of ordering another jar from Flagship.
We all lose many hairs out of our scalp every day, some more than others. The hairs that come out when applying and styling are hairs that would naturally fall out on their own to allow for new hair growth. So when you notice them coming out when styling, it's just because you're speeding up that process. I have the same issue. It's annoying but I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you notice your hair thinning. If it bothers you too much, use lighter products.
Finally a UA-camr with east asian hair. I can't really trust other UA-camrs because it's easy to Style thin and light hair.

No, a low classic taper at the sides and back.
