- Come along as TwinSauce takes you behind the scenes of Newsies at Shawnee Mission's Theatre in the Park. Luke and Paul had the opportunity to be apart of the cast of Newsies and show you how this musical came together. Not all experiences in theatre are easy, and even though it was a hard rehearsal and tech process the show turned out wonderfully and was a joy to perform! Come along as we journey back in time to New York 1899 and tell the story of a bunch of kids taking on the the behemoth Politzer and the world!
Thank you to all the cast, crew, production staff, and park employees for making this show a reality. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us by seeing the show and for those who came multiple nights or from across the county. Thank you.

I didn’t realize how much the cast of a play feeds off the energy of the audience, especially when they’re really reactive and engaging. You two at 52:48 was my favorite part.

Newsies was the first musical to draw me fully into loving theatre (as an audience member not a performer haha) so this vlog is boosting my serotonin🥲

I’m so exhausted now and I might have cried some. The homage to Moo was nice. So glad I went opening night. I never made so much noise in my life! That crowd was unbelievable. So well edited.
