Nah y’all are for sure hating. This dude is smashing this trip out. Yes, cutting corners, yes unsafe. But when you’ve been in the trenches and you know how many things can mess with your performance that are out of your control: waiting on replens, dropped pallets, take a shit etc. you have to do whatever you can to make that time up because you rely on that performance incentive to provide for your family. If you can do the dangerous shit safely because you have exceptional awareness, muscle memory and experience then carry on!

this is bullshit most warehouses give you exception time for reasonable delays, putting your safety at risk for a slight increase in production is a numb brained move

I pull a 160+ everyday. While being safe. Just safely pull as fast as you can on every order while being safe. If theres no traffic I can pull a 200 on an order. But sometimes a lot of things will slow me down and I’ll pull a 150. But yes warehouses give u plenty of time to be safe in most cases

You must not work somewhere that offers incentive.
Most companies that have order selection like this have time based or case based incentive.
Companies like Albertsons offer incentive based off time. Making an extra $200 a week isn't uncommon when you run a 130%+ average throughout the week. Also, it's a moral boost to run/race and pick with your buddies.
If you're even half familiar with a power jack like this. They come with a coast feature by default, which allows it to roll ahead. It's more efficient, and it's not even dangerous if you respect the equipment. This is a guy I would race for the fun of it everyday.
      (edit)
I didn't even notice in the clip, that he stepped over the control arm. LOL I do that shit too, and I'll throw my jack way ahead, grab my case and ride the back pallet while my jack roles up to the next slot. It's fun honestly, but it takes a ton a familiarity and respect of your machine. Not everyone can "feel" even the most minor shifts in trajectory. I could full speed my jack and know where it'll stop everytime. It's all in the comfort you have

If everyone worked at the same pace, and goes overtime, you will make more in the long run. Your back will appreciate you more. You are easily replaceable by a new 18 yr old kid. The ones that bust ass and raise standards for everyone are always the first one to quit when they couldn't do that day in and day out. Gonna clue anyone who wouldn’t understand in on why he’s going so fast , warehouses use a system called KPI (basically a score for how fast you are at working) - how it works = number of items picked ~ time spent picking , if you know how averages work in this instance starting the day with a really high kpi will mean that you can go a lot slower throughout the rest of the day . Highly likely this is his first order pick of the day or first few

Loading goods onto outbound vehicles often involves heavy lifting, repetitive motions, and working in potentially uncomfortable or cramped spaces. This physical strain can lead to fatigue, soreness, and an increased risk of injury, which can make the job challenging and unpleasant over time. Additionally, if the workload is consistently high or if there are unrealistic expectations for productivity, it can exacerbate these physical demands and contribute to feelings of frustration and dissatisfaction with the job.

He’s definitely not the fastest on earth. At my warehouse we use headsets to select. So the headset tells you what to pick and you “scan” with your words. There’s no one picking faster than those guys.

Pretty high risk picker. I would fire him if I caught him picking with the picker moving. Its a big fat no no in terms of safety. And he’s overworking himself too like a dummy.

I bet the mechanics give this dude an attitude when they see him. Using the brakes to stop the PE instead of plugging wears the brakes out 10x faster. Iykyk and iyk.. I feel sorry for you lol

Man I wish my job was as easy as thing bro we got gay ass vox ware and that shit is fucked bro we gotta scan location wait for it to tell us how many cases we need to pick and then say confirm action every time and on top of that we gotta put labels on everything
