  • @Mike-hy8cs

    Personally i use a regular 1 and i use the bevel/heel of the guard to skip guards. For example if i take a 1 guard open and use the heel of the guard with some pressure on the heel it equates to a 1.5 length and you can fade right into a 2closed. Same thing when you want to fade into a 1 closed. Blade open put pressure on the heel and it blends into it very consistently. Any little areas that need work or indents etc. You corner cut or even lower the lever slightly and use more of the heel. Tbh i prefer this over using a half guard because a half guard a lot of times leaves spots that you need to use the blade open for anyway. So you basically knock out two birds with one stone when you skip the half guard and 1.5 guard. Saves tons of time.

    Would you get similar results using a half guard instead of that one guard? As sometimes the half guard open can blend nicely into a 1 and a half guard closed, thanks in advance

    • @BarberJase
      @BarberJase  3 роки тому

      Hi it would be similar. But with normal 1 guard will be little longer. which will make the no guard open (0.5) harder to blend straight into the 1

      @kyewhittle5597 3 роки тому +1
