- With the warmer evenings, the kids enjoy a spider hunt before bedtime. So too do the dogs. Thank you to Margaret and Millie from WA for sending us each a headlamp for these adventures, they’ll be enjoyed and put to great use.
For those that don’t like spiders, I would really recommend skipping this video. ❤️
Being a child in the Evans family must be an awesome life♥
Loved going along with you this evening. Loved Elle asking if there was a "Mummy long legs". She is an awesome little girl❤🇬🇧
I loved hearing her questions. She doesn't miss a thing. Beautiful human. ☺️🧚
What a great teacher you are Luke!! Your children are having the most awesome opportunity to learn about bugs, spiders and the habitat they all share. Better then any science class. All the dogs are enjoying the adventure too.🤗💕
Headlamps are great for night time adventures like spider hunts! Very impressed with a 30+ minute walk with 20 dogs and not one bark. Great training Luke.
Loved hearing Roscoe's rumbled commands in the beginning.
😂🐾💪
Dogs don’t feel the need to bark all the time, you know
Tell my neighbors dogs they don't have to bark all the time. She has no control over them just yells at them .
Looks like a fun evening for kids and the dogs
❤❤❤❤
Thank you so very much Phil from all of us here at the farm ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Margaret and Millie for the head lamps so the Evans clan can entertain us with another great video!😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks to the ladies for the gift it willbe beneficial for the kids to learn education during homeschooling.
Luke, your a great Dad. That was a wonderful learning experience for the kiddos! I love how the children are curious and gentle with nature.
I can picture these kids as adults taking Luke and Sam’s grandchildren on bug hunts “like we did as kids”. They don’t forget these special moments.
This was so cute watching Elle and Wolfie find the spiders. I love seeing the dogs stand still waiting for permission to go through the gate. They’re like statues. Elle is a curious little girl.
The little ones will sleep well tonight after their spider hunt. What a wonderful time for them to learn from dad. Such a great video, thank you!💚🐾☘️🇮🇪
Very cool teaching your kids about bugs and spiders. I have always found spiders fascinating.
It is these kind of adventures that will make wonderful memories for the children. It is so wonderful how Luke makes looking for frogs and spiders a fun activity!
Yes, the kids are creating core memories….
Love how you're supporting your children in caring for and learning about the creatures that surround them. Had a great time watching this.
Thanks for sharing your late night explorations in search of wildlife. Great education and appreciate lesson for Elle and Wolfie-and me! Not so sure I’d react so calmly to meeting a momma wolf spider carrying all her babies. That’s a lot of eyes looking back! So many fun highlights here: from Wolfie’s keen interest to Elle “guiding” you back to the house, and all the pups frozen at attention to see if you were going to invite them through the gate! Hope everyone out in Farm Land has sweet dreams tonight!❤
We moved to a new state and in the house was a momma wolf spider with all her babies on her back. We scared her and babies jumped off and started scattering, and then there was screaming. ‘The mud’ we thought was coming off her had eyes and ran everywhere. Goodness I had never seen anything like it and we had spiders for a long time in the coat closet. It was the most horrible welcome gift ever. I much more enjoyed the home warming gift of the house we left, champagne and cheese and crackers. Too many eyes looking at us. Yahk.
Every child should have parents like Luke and Sam…..
Imagine how great the world 🌍 would be.
The kiddiewinkles have an amazing life. Whatever they chose to be when they’re adults, they will be caring people. ❤❤❤
A spider hunt is so much fun !!! Thank you Margaret and Millie for the Lamps. I also learned more. I never knew about the baby spiders being on the Mother Wolf Spider's back !! Wolfie doesn't want to stop and go inside. It's so good. The dogs definitely enjoyed their evening out with Luke , Elle and Wolfie. Thank you for this great visit.
Roscoe and Maggie making sure everybody is safe while they go on their exploration how awesome
So happy you get to enjoy these nighttime walks, and how you teach your children to enjoy and respect all of God's creatures!
It's so good to see everyone on spider patrol. Wolf is really talking now!! Cutie Pie!! 💓
They simply must stop getting so big, so quickly. 😂
Magical years.🧚
That's a good education for the kids to learn about bugs spiders etc good for Luke to teach them 👏
I never spray my house spiders. They kill the midges and become food for our nesting wagtails! Well done Farm🇦🇺👏
That was such a thoughtful gift. Speaking of daddy-longlegs, my brother used to pick them off the side of our house and come looking for me. I'm sure he loved chasing a screaming me around the yard.
Awesome fun to watch. Hope Cutie Pie's eye is ok. Looks like summer in the South here (US) 🕷🕷
For happy tails! Have a nice new week!!
❤❤❤❤
Bless you ❤😍🐶🫶🙏🥰🤗😇
Thank you again very very much ❤️❤️
Headlamp hunting....so much fun!!! Luke swallowed a bug...didn't you just have dinner?😂. Those headlights are great.....👍 Going to get some for my grandboys for Xmas!👍 Wolfie is into the hunt.😊 Thank you for sharing this adventure with us!🕷️🕸️🕷️🕸️🐸🐸😊
Oh Luke, choking on hot sauce and now bugs. What's next??
OH MY GOODNESS -THE MOST ADORABLE FAMILY EVER !!! 🐾😍 🕸🕷
What fun! Wolfie was precious, always such fun to see the young children explore their world with wonder and excitement in the face. Great job Elle in guiding your dad safely back to the house. And the pack, of course, having absolutely no idea what they were looking for but just happy to be with their family. Great video! Thanks Margaret and Millie for such a wonderful gift.
What a good idea, it was so nice of Margret and Millie to send you those headlamps wasn’t it they come in very handy don’t they bless you Margret and Millie.
Wonderful education for the kids. Awesome parenting. Thanks for the lovely video ❤
The doggies look like they’re saying, We don’t know what you’re doing, but it sure is fun to be out exploring at night! A new sport: Spider hunting! ♥️♥️🐕🐕🕷️🕷️
There is a great variety of spiders there at the farm 🚜 I love how you respect them and teach the children all about them ,❤❤❤
Native flora and fauna is protected here. I still have my boundaries though 😂
I’m glad spiders don’t bother any of you. I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to step out of my house until next winter. Thankfully my spiders don’t look nearly as scary as yours. You guys are troopers.♥️♥️♥️
Probably not a good time to say that in winter they - spiders - move in with you here in Australia 😂
Evie missed the spider hunt
@@Temarama7 I’m with team Evie. A possum hunt, yes, spiders NO thank you. 😉
omg i cant imagine@@lizwa6172
I was thinking the same thing! I'm not afraid of spiders, but the size of some of them was incredible!
When all the dogs were waiting at the gate, Luke says through and Maggie takes off. Luke must have given a hand signal, or there was another dog in front of Maggie, ...or Maggie can read lips!
Love how Luke teaches respect and kindness. Who needs National Geographic with Luke on the scene.
Omg I love this comment!❤😊🐶🫶😍😻😘
Love how Luke takes the kids on nature walks and discoveries..they learn so much and the importance of nature..beautiful to see xx
I'm sure if you put some of the " idiot " hot sauce in your mouth, you wouldn't have to worry about inhaling a bug. They would scatter in fear. LOL. The headlights are brilliant. Love the nature walks. The kids are so curious about it all and always learning.
😂
Love this comment! ❤😂
😂
I like your security system. The lights attract the bugs. The bugs attract the spiders and the spiders scare off the bad guys.
Awesome opening shot of Luke and Elle, the headlamps are fabulous. Such an amazing exciting spider adventure, making special family memories that last a lifetime. A joy to watch, thank you. Love Hxx ❤️ ❤️🕷️🕷️🕸️🕸️
nature is so amazing every critter has there purpose
❤❤❤
Margaret and Millie what a great idea with the head lamps. Spider hunters need great equipment for their exploration. Poor Wolfie doesn't want it to end. Luke is so patient with the kids explaining what they are seeing and making sure everyone stays safe and sound.
What a fun activity for the children (and the dogs). They'll grow up to respect the natural world.
I meant to say, that thumbnail of Luke and Elle is amazing, talk about peas in a pod! Wow!
When you guys say spiders- you mean SPIDERS! You Sirs, are brave hunters sendng love 🇬🇧
What an adventure!! I learned so much!! Luke is just full of knowledge and is the best Dad!!!
The kids must love parcel day! Such thoughtful gifts.
So happy remembering outings with my dad. We don’t do spider hunts but lightning bugs catch and release. Loved going outside in the dark. These lights are awesome!
I never outgrew my curiosity of nature, and I'm now 62. I remember so many walks, climbing trees, watching birds build their nests, digging in the sand at beaches, and watching spiders build their webs. It was and still is...magical:)
Although I'm disabled now, I can still watch birds with binoculars and listen to crickets even though I can't take those long hikes or wandering adventures. I take in as much as I can. Nothing brings me more peace and happiness.
Seeing you and your children enjoy the world around you brings back so many wonderful childhood memories.
Thank you!!
Great post - I’m same age & also did all those things through my life. Hope you stay well.
Thank you Sharon....you too my friend:)@@sharonmckellar3680
What a week you've had, Luke - first that atomic hot sauce nearly did you in and now you're swallowing bugs?! 😝 I love that you and Sam take your kiddos out for these kinds of adventures and that they're growing up with such an appreciation of all kinds of wildlife.
Incredible the kids are growing up loving ‘scary’ animals and knowing how to admire and coexist with safety for all! Well done Uncle Luke!
This was an added bonus - a biology lesson! I don't think I've ever seen so many different spiders. Thank goodness!
What a wonderful teacher you are, Luke! Your children are so fortunate to have you and Sam as parents❤.
Another video! What a happy surprise!!! Thank you for sharing :)
Good Dad, patient and full of info for the kids. Love the dogs, always. thank you..
It's so kind of you to attract all the bugs with your house lights so that all the spiders get a good meal! I let spiders be as part of nature and am fascinated by all the different kinds. I do scream if they run across my bare feet though. This was a lovely spider hunt outing for Elle and Wolfie . Special time with dad. Thank you so much for sharing it. x
I loved your spider hunt - fortunately not scared of them at all. However, absolutely terrified of rats and not keen on mice. Great headlamps, perfect for creepy crawly hunting. Elle & Wolfie great spotters ❤❤❤❤
Wow... I am not a fan of spiders but I watched the video. After all, they are n the screen, not in my room 🙂 With educating the children, Luke educates me too. About the need for the moon, the different spiders... Fascinating, thank you Sam and Luke 😘🦘🕷
Absolutely love the way that Luke guides his children into respecting the natural environment and seeing the awe and beauty of nature. Loved this video.
Living in a very old house I have now got used to spiders,I must say yours look quite spectacular.I love the way you teach your children how to love Nature Luke,a lovely video thank you and bless you.Take care and much love to you all.🥰🥰♥️🙏🐕🐾🐈⬛👭🐐🐴🌏🏡
Another talent of Luke; being a first-rate science teacher! How wonderful how Elle and Wolfie find every aspect of nature, [spiders and all], to be so wondrous. I was taken aback when Elle used the word camaflogue when describing the mother spider. The Evans' children, being home schooled, are getting an exemplary education, both day and night!🎉
Thank you Evans family. You guys are really working your tails off pumping out the vids. It is so awesome sharing with the kids the creepy crawlies and explain. To understand and be more fear less. The beautiful nature
Have you put up a bat house so the bats can come eat your bugs? In the southern USA, we have large Wolf spiders that get in our house...they hunt other bugs like ants so we let them be. They are pretty spiders IMO. ❤
We have wolf spiders too, but it would be huntsman’s that we leave in the house, they’re huge but harmless 🤩🤘🏻🐨🇦🇺🥰🤣
Gnarly 🕷 🕸
I love your educational nature walks. Go explore!!
The National Geographic family documentary beaming from the farm was fantastic with the doggos intoe an Elles guiding skills to top it off. ❤ 💛💙
Brilliant gift for them all, and Elle and Wolfie love what they're seeing. Are they swallow or swift nest under the roof? We see them flitting in an out of the garage sometimes but how wonderful you've got such a huge colony. The kids will always appreciate what nature's given them right on their doorstep. Lovely video thank you Luke and Sam 🥰🥰
Elle certainly has good vision, noting the female spider that had such extensive camouflage.
Why is only one of my dogs eyes glowing?
Occasionally, a dog will have one eye that glows the more common green or blue and another that does not glow or glows red. This is called tapetal hypoplasia and is a hereditary condition where the dog is missing the tapetum from one eye.
The spiders Love Hot Sauce!!! You're in trouble!!!❤❤❤❤
I don't really like wearing a mask, but for this bug and spider hunt, I would make an exception. What a nice gift from Margaret and Millie from WA!
Head lamps!! What a wonderful gift! Great fun for after dark!
I'm so glad you are bringing up your children not to fear spiders. The fear of them makes life difficult sometimes. My poor husband often gets shouted at to remove them from our home. And ours aren't even venomous 😂😂😂😂. I love your channel and have watched for a long time. This is the first time I have commented . I couldn't miss watching you and your lovely family even though it was between fingers a lot of the time. Spiders are ok as long as they don't run😂😂. Thank you for all you do for your beautiful dogs you and your family are amazing humans. Xxx
I so enjoyed this nightime excursion! You have a lot of creatures we don't have in the US. Luke is the spider hunter-would love to see more of these
What a fun video! So cute to hear Wolfie talking up a storm!
No worries about spiders in your house! When they're everywhere, its best to just be vigilant instead of fearful. Well done. Hope it's only how the light is angled against CP's face.
She's been on my mind this week. Hoping for no further problems for her.
What a wonderful education you're providing for your children! I'd have been in heaven to have grown up like that. Bravo, Dad!
Elle is such a darling . Always wanting to help and looking after everybody.💕 Joey is still gnawing on that patch on cutie pie. How is she doing?
This reminds me of going out in the dark searching for nightcrawlers with my older siblings. They were for fishing trips with dad the next day. Good memories! - Also, adding bat houses might be a good home-school project!
Lovin the head lamps... so fun! we use to use them to find night crawlers (big fat worms)for fishing
🕷️Elle the Spider Hunter, good job! Wolfie loving Peedie PIE❤so sweet. Love the adventures, great video.
I’ve been catching up on the videos I’ve missed. The last is the spider hunt , living in Virginia we have many different bugs and spiders. I am not a fan LOL but watching this video I love how interested the children are in the spiders. You certainly have some large spiders, the children aren’t afraid of them. I don’t think I want to be that close to them so I will watch your spider hunts 😊. Watching the spider spinning it’s web was beautiful. Be careful not to swallow too many bugs Luke.
I guess little Evie is not a spider fan. 🥰
Those kids have such a happy youth with parents like you. Always making special time for them inspite of a busy business. Where Luke gets the energy
Ellie is so much like her father both in looks (great looking!) and temperament. It’s lovely to see Luke being teacher and loving dad. Lucky kids! Spiders, yuck, they are ok outside but not inside with me. I think I’d hibernate throughout the summer season - and emerge in winter. Worst we have in Bermuda are 3inch cockroaches which fly in mating season. But nothing poisonous here.
Every day's a school day. Especially in the Evans's household. Smashing. 😊❤
I used to dislike spiders but I don’t anymore, I had one in my room, on the wall and he was gone the next day🥰. I liked the spider hunt. Elle and Wolfie are growing up so fast, they’re really nice kids, I’ve never seen them fight with each other. Thanks for the video😍, those head lamps are great!
I don't mind when I see a spider in the house. I can put it outside. What does bother me is if I see one and then it disappers.
The green glow in Cutie Pie’s left eye that’s a greenish shine is ‘tapetum lucidum’. Answer to your concern that you can see it in one eye but not the other: “there is no worry due to the single eye shine. Your dog will be able to see a minor bit better in very low light in the eye with the shine, but it should not affect his overall health.”
Quite a lot of spiders … gives me the willies! Can’t believe all the flying bugs. I was going to suggest those yellow bug lights but you have so many lights all over the place. I’m surprised the birds don’t eat them … but then maybe they have more of an appetite for flies than moths … seeing as they’re not out ‘n bout in the night. I’m surprised we didn’t see any bats flying around.
I guess Abra will always be orally fixated. Do you think she’ll change as she matures, or is it hard-wired to always bite? I’m just not too sure if it’s a ‘puppy thing’ or a ‘maligator thing’ going on?
It's a maligator thing; hardwired.
As long as spiders are outside I don’t have a problem. It’s when they intrude on my space that I object to greatly. It’s also usually a death sentence for the spider unfortunately. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
My theory if they’re not paying rent, have their name on the lease or mortgage papers, OUT they go. I relocated a huge Funnel Web spider into next door neighbours pool. Absolute mistake, I was aiming for the bushland behind our house. My flick and aim of broom was way off 😬
@@lizwa6172
I used to kill bugs w/out a 2nd thought. Different now - it 'bugs' me to recall that. 🕸️🕷️🙃
Spiders are good ... they eat flies and (I think) mosquitos. 🕸
I have sadly killed a few spiders. Now I do not. I pick them up in a paper towel and put them back outside.
@@lizwa6172they live under water for days so he would be fine
Thank you very much for this instructive video. I'm tentative with spiders...so it was good for me to look at them through Elle and Wolfie's eyes. Take good care and love from Ottawa.
G'day Canada love from down Under.
@@seanbayley7452 G'day Down Under, love from Up Over... 🙂🙂
Thank you so much for the warning!!!! Lol..... I would need a flame thrower at every exit if I had that many spiders.......
Good morning the children are having a blast wonder why bugs are so intrigued my granddaughters are the way love your guardians along with you Wolfie really chatting a lot now the girls are precious
nature is beautiful thanks Luke
What fun adventure to do with the kids.
I just love ALL of your videos. I'm also scared of spiders, but they're part of God's creation. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah spiders are not my jam but it takes all kinds to make the world go round😊
Ditto that!
I am terrified of spiders and yet, I couldn't resist seeing the Evans family, two and four legged, explore.
Elle and Luke look so identical in that header photo! Every angle and plane of their heads the same. lovely people! x
I do not like spiders in any kind of way, but I respect the job they do. I really enjoyed this video and learned so many things!! Luke has so much knowledge and shares it so freely. I just love it and Elle will be the same way as she pays attention. Her eye for finding the spiders was great!! I had a hard time seeing some of them even after they pointed it out. I was glad to see the dogs would not go out the gate until invited. It makes me feel better knowing that. I did see Joey gnawing on the Pie again and hope that's not a bad sign - as with her eye. This was just a great video and I thank you for sharing your hunt with us. So glad I didn't have the bugs to go along with it. Love you all!! 🐾💜❤🐛🐜🕷🕸🐸🔦😁🥰🥰
Aww - “are there any Mummy long legs?” Evie I think? She’s always wanting there to be happy families 😅.
All I can picture is Evie saying "ewww spiders" I'm staying in the house lol
Sooo much fun! The headlamps were a wonderful gift! I learned so much on the spider hunt! Thank you Evans family!❤️❤️🕸️🕷️
💯💯💯❤
Those beautiful memories and teachings that they will treasure forever. 🙏🏻❤️🧡🐾🐾
Great memories for both Dad and children.
Love you guys! Thanks for all you do for the dogs and us.❤😊❤
