Wash the gripper end of the blankets also. When the plates come off, don't loosen the gripper's. Makes hanging plates easier. Your back cylinders are probably a nightmare to clean!

Don't wear jewellery or long sleeves around printing presses. Good way to loose a limb. Think about scrubbing down the back cylinder too.

offset has its own unique taste but too many things to handle with and digital printing is magic
@@cahideyldrm9811 I know digital will not come close right now high quality offset printing but they're getting close. I run a hp indigo 12k and some of the stuff looks just as good as offset

Should be operating the inch and removal of plate with same hand. This means cant trap fingers in nap of blanket....

press is missing original safety guards.....i once saw a guy get run into up to his elbow...pulled off all the skin from elbow down....i cleaned his fingernails out of the waterpan.....put those guards back on........

As someone who learns on a Speedmaster SX102XL this is very weird to watch. Everything done by hand. Pretty unfair that only few get the opportunity to work on the good machines.

I miss printing, I remember serving my apprenticeship on one of these. An AB dick and a two color Heidelberg gto 52. Eventually ran a five unit speed master 72.
Training video?!!!!! That's shocking. There are no safety guards on that machine. That boy could easily be seriously injured.
You can find this in India in every press , no printing press in India is buying new Heidelberg , only old used machinery of Heidelberg are sold and import here so that why no guard or safty system here.
The red button of that mashine is the emergency lock when the lock is on mashine will stop

I dont think it was a good idea to lock ink keys in thr middle of the ink tank. That wss why they kept on adjusting ink. Let in flow and let plate design where to apply ink

If you wear a mask, why not gloves? The chemicals will eventually get you. You do seem highly skilled, however.

Gloves are very dangerous - should NOT wear gloves 🧤 they can pull you into the press
@@ssnoc So can an improperly folded rag. He's inching the press with one hand while wiping with the other. I would hope he doesn't inch his own hand into the press. Gloves are a must when using chemicals. Look at any SDS for any of the chemicals that are used in printing, and, at a minimum, gloves are required when handling.
Chemicals enter the skin quicker than breathing them so always wear gloves skin penatration is nr1 for getting you sick at old age.
And for the gloves grabbing....that wont happen if you always turn your cilinder in the oppositie derection of your hand, never put your fingers in the inward derection of the cilinders so your fingers can never get caught...basic safety lessons for print operators.
