Sheldon is pretty much a robot, he doesn’t know how people socialise so all he has to go on is stereotypes.
Professor is simply an academic position, it does not in itself require teaching students.
If Sheldon had one of those chips in his head, he would have blown up the whole solar system at this point.

You sort of knew from the episode starting out with the black comedy of a colleague's death *in his office* that this was going to be one of THOSE episodes. While last episode was one of the most sensitive of Big Bang's run, this one? Not so much.
Penny saying "well then you all can get tenure" I think might be the most intelligent thing she says throughout this entire series lol

Why would anyone need seat warmers in southern California?
The topic of Raj speaking to women was addressed during either the Physics Bowl episode or the episode where they all participated in a panel at some conference. (Love Car episode) Penny asked how Raj would be able to speak if women were in the audience and Leonard (I think) said Raj can handle groups including women, but couldn't talk one on one. I would assume teaching class would be similar.
I had to have a Mamosa at the science panel. Somehow the screen writers changed that concept

To answer your question at the end: the concept of "tenure" affects each individual the same way that having a regular job does. Some people will use it as a way to relax and be able to do more when they're not competing like Raj says, others will use it as a free pass to not try so hard and just skate by like Sheldon says. There's no one "right" answer because it entirely depends on the specific human.

Then, there is no context for that slave line.
Tenure is fine for some people I'm sure, but I think other folks only behave properly because there are consequences. So I'm with Sheldon on this one.
Faculty have to jump thru numerous hoops for tenure. Research Doctors may get tenure, but I'm not certain.🤓🤓🤓🤓
We never learn who got tenure, presumably Barry won it.
I would say 10 year is a mixed bag. It depends on the person and the university.
