Here’s a goal to spice up your play through, obtain the “dragon priest staff” from Nahkriin near the end of the main quest, it is very challenging but would look great up on display in the arch mage chambers in the college of winterhold.
I like to roleplay by imagining my family and friends to be the main character of Skyrim thus their personalities shaping the playstyle, looks and backstory. After finishing two runs, one with my own character and another based on my wife, this one will be a perfect fir for my father. Thinking of giving it a go!
6:33 It’s heart warming to know that you guys never forget your characters, and seeing the first of them always brings back good memories from when I first starting watching your videos The Ghost of Atmora
I like how well 1:35 fits to this builds Gandalf inspiration. I think a staff of chain lighting would make this build even better in though situations to keep enemies staggered.
The level of roleplaying is through the roof!!!! I love the fact that you've started to implement the use of aetherial crown, and I hope you'll keep coming up with creative ways to incorporate the unlimited use of standing stone powers into your builds!
I love the usefulness of the staffs, very underappreciated items. Let's all give them some love! Currently I can't stop thinking about some form of "perfect defensive mage" that makes heavy use of spell absorption and mage armour. I'll see what I can come up with!
With all those Ghost cameos I'm feeling like the last build of this season is gonna be something special. Great build as always. I like the idea of Miraak being the last enemy with this build in particular. Both are dragonborn, both obsessed with knowledge. But while Miraak wanted knowledge for the sake of power, which caused everything to go wrong, Pilgrim wants it for the sake of preservation, which help him avoid bad decisions.
You know it’s a good build when the video starts with a quote from the Dragonborn himself. Wonderful video, love this build, and super hyped for the finale!
I've actually been doing a build with a similar structure recently. Although, the staff used is the Wabbajack and the blade is a fork with Chaos damage... Yeah, he's a madman. And an assassin. *Mwahahahahaha!!!*
I hadn't been very fascinated by reading Skyrim books. This build has given me a reason to and forced me to learn the lore deeply! Staves are underpowered alone but this combo mage warrior makes for a challenging experience! I love it! Thank You! ❤
Dope AF!!! Definitely gonna play this one Edit: I figured a suitable follower could be Illia from dark lights tower since she’s a former evil mage turning over a new leaf and the pilgrim could help her on that path
Im so glad i found you guys. As a DM and avid dnd player i find this channel to be an amazing link in creative character building and gaming. You guys are gems!
By Azura! This build makes me feel all warm inside! Taking my own spin on your amazing builds never ceases to amaze me! I love to see a build that uses more of the unorthodox aspects of the game and this scratched the itch!
This build was amazing I re watched the lord of the rings trilogy for the first time in years a couple days ago and I could really see the inspiration from Gandalf great job guys
I wish I would have found this build sooner I love Bretons and the lore of the elder scrolls and he's based of gandalf best build ever! Thank you skypothesis you made Skyrim great again
I love this build! These are the types of characters I tend to play and this has given me some great ideas on my next build. Thanks for the great content!
I love this build! Gandalf inspired staff & sword build Vanilla game without mods No alchemy Sounds perfect to me. Thanks for all the work yall do making these awesome builds.
I think the Staff of Jyrik Gauldurson would also be useful, since it deals 25 points of shock damage and twice as much Magicka damage, despite it having the appearance of a Restoration staff. Could come in handy against mages and dragons.
Finally finished me previous play though and started to crave a new start. Went with this build to see how things goes! I kept the steel sword up until I met the Skaal which I role-play the Aetherial Pilgrim to be interested in their culture and lifestyle. Whenever the blacksmith offered me a Stalhrim Sword I took that and replaced it with the steel sword. Simply role-playing it as a memento of Ancient Nord Culture and something he would proudly return home with, not just anyone can get their hands on a weapon fitting a king and having the knowledge how to forge Stalhrim would make a great book for his library back home.
I love the role-play that you guys put into your builds. It really makes me think of how I should be playing Skyrim. Role-playing is so important in a game like Skyrim keep up the good work.
Great job. You guys definitely have that wizard vibe down to a T. I really appreciate the amount of thought you put into the RP of this character. Gives us a very good reason to collect all of the books, both common and obscure. Can’t wait for the next one 👌
Omg I thought you guys were done with the season!! This one is simple amazing yet again. You guys must have an insane knowledge of rpgs to come up with interesting builds like this! And the backstory you guys do is always superb. I loved that you showed a younger version of the character. All in all I wish I could call these video's mine. Great set of skills you brothers got. Dudes this is the best one yet. No doubt!
Another very interesting build, its not the sort of thing I'd normally go for but I appreciate the creativity and roleplay in this one. Great stuff as always.
This is one of, if not the best and complex build I've ever seen! The only thing that stops me from playing this is the fact that I play on Switch (one more reason I love this channel - no mods for me) so constant switching between swords, staffs and spells would be a nightmare without shortcuts
As always, the backstory, lore, and roleplay are excellent! Your choice of Breton for this character suits the theme perfectly. (Breton is my favorite Elder Scrolls race.) I like how you showed the character’s age progression. I love how your character was a lorekeeper in the library and how you integrate knowledge acquisition and book collection into your character’s backstory and motivation. I love reading the in-game books! (My main character, Estelle Dubois, is an ex-librarian from Daggerfall who now searches for/collects/trades books in Skyrim - and is based out of Vlindrel Hall, like your character, because of the large number of bookshelves and also because her companion, Teldryn, seems to be interested in Dwemer culture). I like your choice of Arch-Mage robes and Aetherial Crown. The combination of sword and staff is a unique form of combat. I like how you named each weapon and had uses for each type in certain circumstances. All this really gives a powerful, wizard-like aesthetic! Keep up the awesome work. I’m looking forward to the next build.
Love your builds and production quality. I wonder if you would consider adding a short written overview of the build basics (perks, essential equipment) in the description text. Fevvy does this for his videos and it's very convenient.

Love the Aetherial Pilgrim Build. I'm trying to turn him into a Santa build for the holidays, lol! Happy Holidays guys! I've really enjoyed your builds. Thanks again.
Love this one. Some kind of cross between him and the art thief would be cool too. Like, an artifact wielding non-magic user, scholar/dungeoneer type whose goal is to make a museum (a hearthfire home decked out with relics). He could jive with the hermaeus morra quests, kinda like the anthropologist from avatar exploring that library, plus the thieves guild in a nathan drake sorta way. @@Skypothesis I hope they do, when I make this character I’m gonna look for the other creation club staves, for the darker ones I’ll role play that he is collecting them to lock them away and make sure they are not used for evil
If playing with Anniversary Edition, a nice ring to use here is the Warlock's Ring. I think Myrwatch would be a great home for this build. You get a nice tower like Orthanc (yes I know this build is based off Gandalf and not Saruman but still)
I have a orc that uses alteration and restearation, one handed light armor and cyclone shot and poison potions Back story was kicked out of tribe for using magic he found out his mother had a black book so he went looking for more. While looking in raven rock he became the leader of the reiklings. I call him Olaf the Gray

Perhaps y'all could one day do a build based upon monster hunting like the Witcher and/or Monster Hunter series? Either way, appreciate y'all's hard work!
I would another version with a khajiit wielding a two handed silver weapon. A mischievous scholar with the school of alteration😊 Both a treasure and book hunter.❤ Lete know what you think 🤔🎉
thank you for all the awesome content. trying to do a traditional nord no crafting. no enchantments either unless the charge last forever. Enchating is evil in my eyes and it kills my roleplay for a good character.
When I start this build my blade of elements will be an iron sword, I always liked the way it looks but there's really no reason to use it on higher levels besides aesthetics
For me my Blade of Elements will be an elven sword. 1. Because of higher damage, and 2. Because of the Gandalf inspiration since his sword Glamdring was made by the elves.
Ima do something similar but I might make him a vampire lord who joins the volkihar clan. I have no idea how to role play it but I love being a vampire lord on mages 🤣
Any chance you guys are going to make a demonhunter build in the future? maybe a vampire with destruction magic mainly fire and Crossbow or Bow(creation club has some cool Crossbows). Backstory could be something like that she/he was once a Vampire hunter from a old vampire Hunter clan but on a mission to kill the leader of an ancient Vampire clan she/he got bitten by the leader. After becoming a vampire she/he was getting attacked by the own clan brothers and sisters and needed to run away. From that day the character hated everything that is undead but also started to be bitter against Humans... (Sorry for my bad English by the way^^) edit. This Backstory could potentially even set up a character from the ancient Vampire clan for the future like a redguard vampire Prince/Princess with a focus on dual wield (katanas) poison and paralyse spell's^^

Is that even possible? I thought you needed the staff to open the portal to Sovngarde.
