- This is the Prism Bora 7 Parafoil Kite in Blaze with a dimension of 49" by 36" and 200" permanently attached tail. It is rated for winds 6 - 25 mph although after a few attempts I was able to get it to fly in 3 to 5 mph wind conditions. It retains for about $45 US and is a extremely well made and assembled kite. You can certainly tell the difference in quality between this and some cheaper Parafoil kites of similar size. This kite comes in a nice stow away bag that can also be used to walk the kite down with the attached Carabinier. It is supplied with 300' of 80lb Polyester line on a small Halo winder that attaches onto the bag via bungee cord.

What a fantastic kite! Just bought one 3 weeks ago and man oh man it is worth every penny!!
Glad you liked yours. It i
Very good kite indeed hopefully you have lots of good wind to enjoy it.
Certainly appears worth the effort in the end!
Sometimes it's fun to coax it into the sky & sometimes it's time for a long line launch! LoL
I always long line it. Just set it down, walk back, and a good yank on the line and up it goes. For low winds though I use a Zenith, the Bora is for the extreme wind days.
I have the Bora 7 in frost color. When the wind is right, it looks great in the air.
I used to use fishing line. Much lighter than string and much stronger. We had a 1000 yard spool of it once and let it all out. Boy o Boy did we hate reeling it back in though!
Many kite enthusiast who fly in nature areas will advise not to use fishing nylon because it harms wildlife. Use caution please.
@@lionharehartnobody cares about that. The main issue is like he said, it tangles. Also the performance is really poor and the strengthen rating goes down much faster the more you extend it than proper kite line.
Lighter lines will let it take of more easy (25kg) in those mild wind conditions.
Thank you for your comment. yes I was actually using one of my 100lb lines and not the 80lb that came with the kite but I probably could have gotten away with using 50lb line there was a storm coming and the trees tend to block alot of wind on the ground where I fly so I didn't want to get caught higher up with too much wind for the line.
I bought this kite and didn’t have enough ground air to launch, I think I need to adjust the bridle. Nice flying, I prefer framed kites just a bit more though. Nonetheless it’s a nice kite to see in the air.
That's why you run back a bit to get it a couple hundred feet up where there is air.
