Haha! Cheers bud, my wife would disagree ;-). Been slow over the last year due to COVID but planning to post more vids come summer. Cheers for the messages!
Damn bro, loved the vid!! I get off work this Thursday so me and a couple of mates were gonna pull a really early start and make our way out to coromandel somewhere for a morning yak fish but this has got me questioning that plan now...never hooked up on a kingie before so would be really keen for a piece of the action!
Hey Adam, glad you enjoyed the vid. Where you heading out in the Coromandel? My brother in law is at Hahei and they've been pulling in huge snapper all week with huge workups around that area.
@@MadSaffer Nah actually ended up going north to army bay but had no luck...got circled but a huge hammer head so that might've had something to do with it :)
Lekker Ross! I was heading out today as you were coming in! sorry I know what it's like when you finally get back in haha... we didn't have a lot of luck either.. too warm eh? speaking of which... I need to know where to get the best longs to wear out there.. I keep forgetting to put suntan lotion everywhere and end up with various searing spots... keep it up mate, it was beautiful out there. Especially the Bronze whaler that came up to say hi today :D

@@MadSaffer Cheers mate! I bought a couple pairs. One for me and one for my bro. Quiet out there at the moment, land based and on the Kayak. Keen to hit up the coromandel one of these days soon in the new year!
Hey boet, im a fan, been watching your vids for a while. I've actually fished at some of your spots on my boat and have been successful, lekker. I've been hearing some good reports coming out of army bay, I'm looking at heading out to waipara harbor, but watching your vid, I might just pay a visit here now. :) might see you out on the waters ;)

It's heaps of fun! I stand to be corrected but as I understand, they called rats because they can be quite an annoyance when you actually trying to catch something legal.
Hey mate love your videos. I am in Aus and looking at getting the same kayak but heard they can be a bit unstable? Yours doesn’t look bad at all, how do you find it for stability?? Do you find it’s a bit small/cramped at all? Also did you ever try out the front hatch as a live well?
Hey Matt, glad you enjoy the vids. The yak is super stable, even in chop. You can check out some of my reviews using the links below. I've been out deep in some serious chop and she's handled just fine however there are a few tweaks you can do to make it last longer (see vids below). If I recall, there's a company in Aus called Bay Sports selling the same models. ua-cam.com/video/0FRbsi0I6eI/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/U_kH7F79rZ8/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/D25sT1jRhr0/v-deo.html

You look like a badass with your longer beard. I saw from the intro. We love all of your videos!! Please post more. Cheers from Texas.
