This is part 1 of the last season. The manga isnt finished yet. When it does. The works will ready for production. And part 2 of season 4 will be released in 2022. Look at season 3. There's 2 chapters since there is shit ton of info from the manga.

Ngl, Eren and Mikasa bond is the emotional heart of AOT and I get why isayama made it a rollercoaster of a relation in part 4 and kept the resolution for the absolute end. It's not some simple "love interest" thing like young shonen fans would believe. It's so much deeper than that. For Mikasa it's always been "family" and for Eren she represents "Home" as we see in s3. Eren makes a promise of "forever" to her and she's always there to lend power to him and Armin. The 3 of them are so perfect together. In isayama's own words,"I made them to represent courage, power and wisdom". Eren gives Mikasa and Armin the courage, Mikasa is their strength and Armin is the much needed wisdom. Just thinking about the final confrontation between Eren and Mikasa, the 2 childhood friends and family whom we have seen grow up and turn into the monster and killer they've become makes me emo. AOT started with a panel of Mikasa which turned out to be Eren's dream from which he woke up crying and AOT is gonna end with Eren and Mikasa too. It will come full circle.

Personally I prefer Eren and Historia's relationship and how they mirror each other and connect through themes like family and freedom, but that was a really good analysis nonetheless
The trio reminds me of the song soldier, poet, king by the oh hellos. Soldier being Mikasa, the poet is Armin and the king being Eren since he practically “rules” over the Titans now

Some people fail to understand Eren's character and Eren and Mikasa's relationship. It is sad honestly how people consider Eren as some edgy chad kinda guy who doesn't give a f about Mikasa or his friends. This guy once promised her forever. People take it too lightly and people make fun of Mika's love for Eren. AOT started with Eren and Mikasa and I am sure it will end with them getting their closure. Isayama himself said Eren and Mikasa's separation forever will not be satisfactory. Isayama would never create this roller coaster of emotions in their relationship or waste his time on Mikasa's delusions, as some people say, if he had nothing in mind. Their story is not some 'love at first sight' or "girl has a crush on hot guy" kind of cheap story or a typical disney love story. It is beyond that.
She is his home, and he is her family.

When they were kids, mikasa, Armin and eren were strength, wisdom, and courage. They all made up for each other's weaknesses. But once eren developed into a character with unparalleled strength, insane courage and wisdom (he's not the naïve kid he used to be. He understands this cruel world better than anyone), it was obvious that he was one day going to walk down a separate path from Armin and mikasa. Unlike him, mikasa and Armin are just normal average beings, who can't make tough decisions and bring about change in the world. The thing is that eren's mom said that it doesn't matter if her child grew up to be special or not. Ironically her child turned out to be the true attack titan who had been influencing every previous attack titan shifter from the past to get what he wants. Levi saw something in eren in the first season. "You can try to chain him down, but no matter what, he won't submit to anyone. He's a real monster... And I'm not talking about his titan." Eren will keep moving forward until his people achieve freedom. When he's asked why he's doing all this, he simply replies by saying, "because I was born into this world. " He's trying to say that every being in this world deserves to be free no matter who they are. Everyone has a right to freedom. Eren is not willing to let his people die just for being born.

It was just announced that AOT's last chapter will come out on 9 of April. It's just 4 chapters left. I can't believe that we are so close to the end. I am so glad that one of my favorite mangas and anime ever will come to an end, but at the same time i am a little bit sad that we will have to say fare well to such beloved characters, and to all the epic moments they have delivered to us. Isayama thank you for this masterpiece!!!!

The way Mikasa held Eren is so precious, and the sadness and hopelessness in her eyes in the picture after the time skip is so lonely. Feeling the one you wish to be beside and protect so different, so distant, gosh. Though she doesn’t come up much or might seem useless at times or needlessly clingy to Eren, I can’t hate her in fact I feel her very much. I really wish for at least a peaceful ending for both of them.
In April 9 is where we depart. It was nice knowing you lots as well as getting to read a wonderful story with you all.

Sadly, Hiroyuki Sawano doesn't do much of the soundtrack in Mappa, so the BGM doesn't sounds as good as previous season,
(I kinda disappointed how they played trailer's BGM too often repeatedly, which make it kinda boring)

@@Xominus It isnt MAPPA's fault. The producers wanted it to be made in such a short time. WIT is already a small studio so they obviously declined. If MAPPA didnt pick it up, Attack on Titan would most likely never get the final season adapted. Besides, this was done in 10 months. MAPPA isnt using CGI just because theyre lazy, it's the only way they can animate it. Short time to make it plus all of WIT's fights had like 2 or 3 titans at a time and even then the colossal titan was cgi. GIve MAPPA a break is all im saying. Even I think the pacing and overall flow so far couldve been better but it's by no means bad

My theory is that: Idk if that was what was going to happen? Those events all happened in The Paths and Eren may have made up such a scenario as to how they got together and lived peacefully? If there were things that Eren couldn't change for the future, was it even possible? He also may have asked her that question to see if anything would change, but with no luck. That or he really wanted Mikasa to be freed instead. Not sure... but those are my thoughts on it.

Them using Eye-Water (the instrumental version of it) for the past of Ymir Fritz the Founder would be a nice callback
in 15 years from now, when people said “oh we were born in the wrong year, we didn’t get to live in the years when aot didn’t end yet”. I am thankful that able to watch this masterpiece from the start and witness it ends.
I am not a manga reader but still it feel like something very epic , very emotional , something very remarkable is going to go down in front of my eyes.

we have seen so many good characters besides our main trio ,like historia ,erwin,Reiner,etc,
Back when I saw s1 I never in my dream would have thought this series will progress this way.
And one thing I have noticed that the further you proceed in story of AOT more things connect from the past and and that connection results in more impactful scenes than previous ones (whether it be emotional or fight scene) it's not just the scene but all the buildup it has been doing from the start .

What a week and a time to be alive.
Attack on Titan is the only reason I started loving Mondays again
I’m literally crying. I got reminded of all the genuine happiness, anger and sadness this show as made me felt. How it will end, and how nothing will ever be like it again. I can rewatch the final episode of season 3 part 2 1 million times and I will still feel the happiness that I felt the first time! Thank you, Hajime Isayama. You absolute genius.

Here after the final episode. Great anime, the way the whole story was shown was excellent, and though I wanted a happy ending for Eren, the lack of a happy ending really emphasized an excellent motif: our repetitive sinful nature

Reading the comments make my eyes burst of tears and alot of them said the facts that abt the true mikasa who some people make fun of bcuz its a one sided love, eren was doing his best to protect her and his other friends including his home land, I have read the manga and the ending was heart breaking
Seeing Mikasa weep after confirming Eren is alive really moved me.
Girls like Mikasa, nonchalant, you doubt whether they truly care about you until something happens to you. They love from a far, it's difficult to adapt but they one group of loyal people.
Mikasa is just ereh dog without opinions or meaningful scenario, muh sCaRf, she is just one dimensional character
