Gorgeous! So beautiful! A feast for the eyes indeed. Very good use of fabric scraps and lots of patience to piece everything together. Thanks so much. Blessings for the weekend from Singapore 🇸🇬
That is seriously awesome!!❤😍 I love that stitch you used to quilt the blocks, love the way you joined the blocks. Amazed at the wonderful result you got using that puffy batting...I struggle with that! And your blocks appear to line up perfectly. Beautiful. And a 'true' quilt, using scraps like that😉
Love this! I have soooo much fabric left over from previous projects and had been intending to start making scrappy quilts and not buy new fabric- this is perfect! I also like the suggestion above for joining flat using 2 strips, i think it will lie flatter and be less bulky. Thanks 😊
There is no “point”…you do you. “Waste of time” is only an opinion…be kind in your comments. This is simply an option to use fabric to create something wonderful. I’m sure I’m not the only viewer who appreciated this video.
I have to cut waste off nice fabric, shame to throw it away, so good idea to use it to add colour and features to other plain fabric, Makes very smart items.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It’s wonderful to see others appreciate the value of repurposing fabric. Together, we can reduce waste and create something special!
Bambi, we value your oppinion. Personally, I would not watch what I dislike, but then again you, on the other hand, might derive good mood from letting us all know you dislike something... Have a good day
If you sew 2 strips to one side, then sew the next block to one strip,1/2" away, both 1/4" edges will lie flat inside your joining strips. Yes 3 seams, not 2, but better finish. Look up pattern Poole for joining techniques, to join quilt as you go blocks.
Great idea to use your scraps up. You could donate it to local charities my sister fosters children a great charity is backpacks for kids win Australia who would gladly accept quilts for kids.
American pioneers would have had nothing to put on their beds - and, sometimes, or their bodies - had they turned up their noses at sewing together fabric scraps. I've seen some awfully contrived string, scrap, potato-chip, schnibble, or whatever-you-call them quilts that are pretty ugly, but this is not one of them. I enjoy being surprised when I happen upon interesting and pleasing colorful combinations while scrap quilting. There is always a way to use the result of putting together bits of fabric. It's certainly more worthwhile than playing random games online out of boredom or as a way to avoid reality.
Can you tell me what you used as the first fabric that you sewed the scraps onto? Is it an interfacing? What size is it? Would appreciate this information. The quilt is beautiful!
I'm a beginner, so this may be dumb questions but… What are you sewing the scraps to? What are you using for batting? Is the quilt stiff from the material you are using?
I don't see the point of having to use every last piece of fabric. I donate the fabric to a local quilt group. I enjoy making quilts and don't want to waste my time with little scraps.
Christine, thank you for giving us an idea of your character, but it was not really necessary... this channel is not about your problems, but about ideas we do appreciate. Have a good day.
As someone who frequently receives other quilters scraps, Im certain they appreciate them. There are many quilters who truly enjoy the appearance, thriftiness, and historical connection to our ancestors, of scrappy quilts.

What a fabulous idea.

Merci

I sewed a lot for a shelter for homeless dogs so that they could sleep on a warm and soft surface.
Wunderschön 🤩
Nice idea
Thank you
Incrível ❤❤

Totally agree! There's something special about piecing together scraps. Way more fun than mindlessly scrolling through games, right? Keep on quilting!

Precioso trabajo, gracias por enseñarme, y no des lugar a comentarios envidiosos amiga querida ❤.
Super
Can you tell me what you used as the first fabric that you sewed the scraps onto? Is it an interfacing? What size is it? Would appreciate this information. The quilt is beautiful!
I would use muslin
This is interlining (sticks together when ironed with a hot iron)
Nice
Thanks

I'm a beginner, so this may be dumb questions but… What are you sewing the scraps to? What are you using for batting? Is the quilt stiff from the material you are using?
Good day. This is synthetic padding and it softens.
Your scissors sound so sharp. What brand are they.?
Tiger
❤👍🌺
Do you have a wavey stitch on your machine? 😮
Yes. This machine has a certain number of sewing programs
Singer HD 6605C

Each to their own but I don’t see the point of you watching the process to comment on it, really.

Sewing is my favorite hobby. So I would accept your fabric pieces from you :-)
You can do you without putting other people down. I don't have a need to know what you consider a waste of time.
Looks awful
