I think when we are on a call. We are so emerged in talking to the other person that our mind is thinking like " okay I'll analyse it later , first let me finish this" so this is why we got some good laugh🤣
The reason is : our mind can't do 2 tasks at once efficiently. It works 50% for each. In this case : talking on the phone 100% and suddenly distracted -interrupted- by handing them something unexpected- the mind switch to this weird new task is slow - because it is engaged with the other task. The mind is not given enough time to reach 50% for this new task. So , when people take the thing , their mind is working may be 5-10% for this new weird unexpected task.
must be because female brain can multitask, while male brain can focus. when females are on the phone gossiping, they can wash dishes at the same time, tend the children and talk with her husband too. when males are on the phone, they are on the phone. this has to do with our corpus callosum, on how our brains are wired from left to right & vv.
