I really liked Simmo and while I was upset to see him fired mid season after looking at Schoey's energy in the press conference it is now apparent Simmo needed a break from the game. Schoey has my vote as the next senior coach !
i dont wanna jump on the "sign him now" boat, hes only done 5 games. But that being said, he is ticking a lot of boxes. the players are clearly showing respect to him as a coach and its translating on the field, hes incredibly well spoken and wants to show fight, doesn't seem to take a backward step. lets end on a high schoey

I hope you realise how much admiration, respect and support you have from the Eagles faithful, you truly deserve it. You also deserve to be our next Head Coach. And I'm super impressed by the way you've changed the mindset of the playing group, they've thrived under your leadership after just 4 short weeks. I hope they can keep it up for the rest of the season. In saying that, there's a lot to play for this weekend boys. Show the grit and determination that you showed against Gold Coast, do it for Schoey and send Gaffy out on a high. Go Eagles!
Nobody wins down Tassie, that’s why we’re going there. This is the test for us. If this is a W then Schoey’s a no brainer for the job. If we get close then he’s gone a long way to win Pykey over. I’m liking him so far.
You know some people are gifted to play AFL. And some can be players a coaches. Blind Freddy can see Schofield is gifted to coach the Eagles. Because you can see he is highly skilled , is a great communicator, but most of all has great people skills. If the Eagles let him go and don't appointment him they will regret it. He has put his hand up now stand beside him and give him a 12 month contract , why to prove his worth.
Jarred is certainly talking the talk, for sure there has been improvement in how the the team are responding to his coaching. But the jury is still out on is he the right fit for long term gain. Jarred appears to be relating to the group well. He’s got the runs on the board as a long term assistant. Yes he had great success at Subi but that’s not AFL. Jarred has the passion and I’m sure it’s infectious with the players. He does remind me of a similar style to the Brisbane coach Fagan. Jarred just maybe a repeat of when Adam Simpson took the he role at WCE. Should the WCE lock him in I am not 100% sure.
Jarred is not an idiot making any false claims the media are like buzzards wanting answers that are none of their business. He doesn’t sign the players contracts. His roll is to coach that’s it.. refreshing his responses to the media! In ya face .. 🦅👍
The club has changed nothing as Schoenberg said they were already transitioning under simmo its the same game plan simmo had ect, and for your info simmo played the youngest side this season.

@avy_moshie it was never the coach, simmo said it for 3 years the players haven't played enough footy together with 2 years of crazy injuries, even this year Noah long and Elijah Hewitt 2 exciting young guns out. He said it will be a long rebuild and nobody believed him they just threw him under the bus and expected another coach to do better with the same cattle. 2 years we will have a nice mix of players with between 20 and 200 games with a lot in that 100 to 150 game region and with luck and little injuries we will be contending again. We are simply to young at one end and to old at the other.
