That's the catch these days when buying a digital compact camera they are all made by no name manufactures as all the big names stopped making Cameras years ago and buying The older model cameras like the cannon or Nikon have their problems as those cameras may be on their last legs due to age and getting replacement batteries for those cameras is also problematic I have a couple of cheap ones myself but went for ones that were made under Licence for at recognized brand but no name company s But it ist mega pixels that are important with such cameras it's their iso capabilities because while some of the more basic models have iso speeds of between 100 to 400 Some of the slighty better models that cost twice the price of the more basic models have iso speeds up to 1600 which is damed good for a digital compact camera

Excellent review! I have an Ilford Pixi-D which seems to be the identical hardware. The software menus are different though.
