I love ZenBivy! A friend recommended it a couple of years ago and I decided to buy it. It’s SO much more comfortable than other options and is really competitive in terms of weight.
My daughter who backpacks with me now has her own ZenBivy system.
Their ZenBivy Light Mattress is very comfortable, doesn’t crinkle as much as other mattresses, and the inflation sack actually works.
I’m enjoying hearing about the design directly from the company.
For some reason I get a feeling that I’m being sold something whenever I watch Dan’s UA-cam videos. When I watch videos of backpackers reviewing/showing gear, or doing a gear load out, it comes off as authentic, from an honest place where you know it’s been put to real use.

Using a quilt is one of the best changes i have made in all my years of camping.
The Sierra Designs Backcountry Bed is another design by Mike. Another very underrated sleep system. You can see the similarities between these two sleep systems.
I have been using the BCB for two years. Can't say enough great things about it.
This does remind me of the SD zipperless bags I have the Cloud 35 and it's been a complete game changer for me
@@errer1 I believe he did all of the zipperless SD bags and a few of the tents with the external pole design.
It's pretty much what I use. I have a 25' wide Klymit pad with fitted sheet and a Therm-a-rest comforter. Works aweseome.

I just got my Zenbivy Light 25° and I have to say, I've been smiling for over an hour now. From the time FedEx handed me a lightweight box that I thought was empty to the inflation of my BA Rapide pad to the assembly of this sleep system, I'm sold. Being a hefty guy, I'm finding that sleeping bags are too constricting to me. This system is perfect for me and I cant wait to get it outdoors and use it.
Thank you for your product reviews, they have helped steer me in the direction I need to go.

I want that Zenbivy!! I spent a night out on the AT two weeks ago. The low was supposed to be in the 40’s & I thought my quilt would be fine. Unexpectedly it dropped to 35 degrees with a chill of 28. I froze! I struggle to sleep in a normal environment, a mummy bag won’t work for me & currently looking for something better. Just stopped 3 years of cancer treatment in February and I’m hiking the AT one small section at a time. Fighting the good fight!
I want that Zenbivy! Such a cool system. I’ve been noticing recently how different my sleeping bag feels from my sheets at home, so I love how Mike was emphasizing the similarities between the Zenbivy fabric/shape and your sheets at home.

I love my new Zenbivy Bed. I'm a bigger guy and a side sleeper. I bought the XL and I use it with an Exped Dura 5R 25x78 pad. XL worked great with smaller pad but 30x80 would be awesome too.

Watched tons of videos and talked to numerous people and have yet to understand how a quilt with a buckle is in any way better than a rectangular shape sleeping bag with a zipper other than a little weight.

I got this for Bikepacking and I really like the original Zenbivy with the zippers because of the issues with the clips. The zippers make it a really comfortable bed. However, this is with a bike experience, since bulk matters but weight really doesn't.

I wish I had talked to you before so you could have given this away to me! I can only sleep on my tummy and I move a lot at night. I just bought a system. I duo system but I plan to use it alone since I move around so much. I don't want to be falling off these 20 or 25-in mattresses. I will be hiking 200 or 300 mi in the next month or two. I will give you back my full report. And maybe you can send me a free one down the road! By the way, I am on a very small social security check and partly disabled. But after doing a lot of researching, I thought your system would be the very best for me. Now I am in big debt But as long as I sleep good when I'm out on this brutal trail, I'm good.
