I've read Mahabharata and Idk why people glorify karna he was not a grey character but he was completely black character. 1st- He was not a danveer, he was scared from his bad deeds so to get redemption from that he started giving daan and when he gave his kavach and kundal it was pure greed and transaction because karna was unable to kill arjuna so that's why karna wanted vasuki sakti which indra denied first but later he allowed this transaction. 2nd- Karna many times left duryodhana and escaped in the war where duryodhana could have died so how he was a good friend in any sense. 3rd- Arjuna many times defeated karna. 4th- on 17th day bheema defeated karna (with vijay dhanush) in a bow and arrow war so how Arjuna couldn't defeated karna with Vijay dhanush. Correction to prem bhai- If karna and arjuna face each other one on one than if karna will have his powers than he'll have his curse too so he'll forget all his education and skill so there will be no use of vijay dhanush.
Why did Karna at first refuse to give his kavach kundal and asked for Vasavi Shakti according to KMG and BORI CE? Was he not a Danveer? Was Vasavi Dart a fine exchange for Karna's Kavach Kundal? No it wasn't. It was a very poor "exchange". This is going to be a long answer. I will divide it into two parts. All the dialogues are taken from the KMG version of Mahabharata. Part 1: Lord Surya comes to Karna in his dream to tell him about Indra’s plan Here is what lord Surya told Karna. "If thou, O Karna, givest away thy beautiful ear-rings born with thee, thy life being shortened, thou wilt meet with death! Arrayed in thy mail and ear-rings, thou wilt, O bestower of honours, be incapable of being slain by foes in battle! Do thou lay to heart these words of mine! Both these jewelled ornaments have sprung from Amrita. Therefore, they should be preserved by thee, if thy life is at all dear to thee." Here, lord Surya clearly says that Karna would be incapable of being slain if he has his armour and earrings. In spite of that, Karna insists he would give them away if asked by Indra. He never thought of exchanging them. Lord Surya again tells him, “But when furnished with thy earrings, Arjuna will never be able to vanquish thee in fight even if Indra himself comes to his assistance. Therefore, O Karna, if thou wishest to vanquish Arjuna in battle, these handsome ear-rings of thine should never be parted with to Sakra.'" Here, I am quite certain “Vanquish” means kill, not defeat because Karna’s armour/earrings never protected him from defeat. His defeat at the hands of the Gandharvas is a good example. Karna again refused to deny giving away his armour and earrings. Quite interestingly, here Suryadev mentions only the earrings. Once lord Surya knew it wouldn’t be possible to make Karna change his mind, he then tells him to strike a deal with Indra. Lord Surya said, “Do thou also beseech him, saying, 'Give me an infallible dart capable of slaying all foes, and I will, O thousand-eyed deity, give the ear-rings with the excellent coat of mail!' On this condition shouldst thou give the ear-rings unto Sakra. With that dart, O Karna, thou wilt slay foes in battle: for, O mighty-armed one, that dart of the chief of the celestials doth not return to the hand that hurleth it, without slaying enemies by hundreds and by thousands!'” There is a reason I highlighted a few words in bold. I will explain later. Karna asked for the Vasavi dart only because he worshiped lord Surya and couldn’t refuse to do as he was told. He was going to give what Indra asked for anyway. Part 2: Indra comes to ask Karna for his armour and earrings Karna says, “Therefore, O Sakra, take my earrings and excellent mail in exchange for something conferred by thee on me! Otherwise, I will not bestow them on thee!' “That was as per Lord Surya’s instruction. He wanted Karna to force Indra to give him something. It wasn’t Karna’s idea. Even if Surya didn’t ask Karna to do it, you think Indra would’ve just taken what he wanted and gone away without granting a boon or giving anything to Karna? What Karna did was a great deed and he deserved to get something. So, Indra would have anyway given him something or the other. Indra gave Karna what he asked for, but he too put forth conditions First condition - “Except the thunder-bolt alone, tell me what it is that thou desirest to have!'" Indra already laid a condition that except the more powerful Thunderbolt weapon Karna could ask for anything else. He gave Karna a comparatively weaker weapon. Second condition - “This dart that is incapable of being baffled, hurled by my hand, destroyeth enemies by hundreds, and cometh back to my hand after achieving its purpose. In thy hand, however, this dart, O son of Suta, will slay only one powerful enemy of thine.” So, a weapon that is capable of killing hundreds of enemies will be reduced to be capable of killing only one. Even Lord Surya mentioned about asking for a weapon that would kill enemies by hundreds and thousands which is why I highlighted that part above. Third condition - “And if, maddened by wrath, thou hurlest this dart, while there are still other weapons with thee, and when thy life also is not in imminent peril, it will fall even on thyself.'” Karna was supposed to use the weapon only as a last option and only when his life is at risk and not when he felt like. Otherwise, it would turn on him and kill him. He could use it only once So in exchange for his armour and earrings that would protect him from celestial weapons as long as he lives, he gets something that is not as powerful as Indra’s Thunderbolt, gets a watered down version of the Vasavi dart which he could use only once and to add to that, he couldn’t use it as per his will, but only when he had no other option and was facing certain death. It wasn’t a good exchange at all. It was a very raw deal. I agree Karna had done nasty things and wasn’t the epitome of righteousness, but I cannot get myself to think this was fair by any means.

I've read Mahabharata and Idk why people glorify karna he was not a grey character but he was completely black character.
1st- He was not a danveer, he was scared from his bad deeds so to get redemption from that he started giving daan and when he gave his kavach and kundal it was pure greed and transaction because karna was unable to kill arjuna so that's why karna wanted vasuki sakti which indra denied first but later he allowed this transaction.
2nd- Karna many times left duryodhana and escaped in the war where duryodhana could have died so how he was a good friend in any sense.
3rd- Arjuna many times defeated karna.
4th- on 17th day bheema defeated karna (with vijay dhanush) in a bow and arrow war so how Arjuna couldn't defeated karna with Vijay dhanush.
Correction to prem bhai- If karna and arjuna face each other one on one than if karna will have his powers than he'll have his curse too so he'll forget all his education and skill so there will be no use of vijay dhanush.

Why did Karna at first refuse to give his kavach kundal and asked for Vasavi Shakti according to KMG and BORI CE? Was he not a Danveer?
Was Vasavi Dart a fine exchange for Karna's Kavach Kundal?
No it wasn't. It was a very poor "exchange". This is going to be a long answer. I will divide it into two parts. All the dialogues are taken from the KMG version of Mahabharata.
Part 1: Lord Surya comes to Karna in his dream to tell him about Indra’s plan
Here is what lord Surya told Karna. "If thou, O Karna, givest away thy beautiful ear-rings born with thee, thy life being shortened, thou wilt meet with death! Arrayed in thy mail and ear-rings, thou wilt, O bestower of honours, be incapable of being slain by foes in battle! Do thou lay to heart these words of mine! Both these jewelled ornaments have sprung from Amrita. Therefore, they should be preserved by thee, if thy life is at all dear to thee." Here, lord Surya clearly says that Karna would be incapable of being slain if he has his armour and earrings. In spite of that, Karna insists he would give them away if asked by Indra. He never thought of exchanging them. Lord Surya again tells him, “But when furnished with thy earrings, Arjuna will never be able to vanquish thee in fight even if Indra himself comes to his assistance. Therefore, O Karna, if thou wishest to vanquish Arjuna in battle, these handsome ear-rings of thine should never be parted with to Sakra.'" Here, I am quite certain “Vanquish” means kill, not defeat because Karna’s armour/earrings never protected him from defeat. His defeat at the hands of the Gandharvas is a good example. Karna again refused to deny giving away his armour and earrings. Quite interestingly, here Suryadev mentions only the earrings. Once lord Surya knew it wouldn’t be possible to make Karna change his mind, he then tells him to strike a deal with Indra. Lord Surya said, “Do thou also beseech him, saying, 'Give me an infallible dart capable of slaying all foes, and I will, O thousand-eyed deity, give the ear-rings with the excellent coat of mail!' On this condition shouldst thou give the ear-rings unto Sakra. With that dart, O Karna, thou wilt slay foes in battle: for, O mighty-armed one, that dart of the chief of the celestials doth not return to the hand that hurleth it, without slaying enemies by hundreds and by thousands!'” There is a reason I highlighted a few words in bold. I will explain later. Karna asked for the Vasavi dart only because he worshiped lord Surya and couldn’t refuse to do as he was told. He was going to give what Indra asked for anyway.
Part 2: Indra comes to ask Karna for his armour and earrings
Karna says, “Therefore, O Sakra, take my earrings and excellent mail in exchange for something conferred by thee on me! Otherwise, I will not bestow them on thee!' “That was as per Lord Surya’s instruction. He wanted Karna to force Indra to give him something. It wasn’t Karna’s idea. Even if Surya didn’t ask Karna to do it, you think Indra would’ve just taken what he wanted and gone away without granting a boon or giving anything to Karna? What Karna did was a great deed and he deserved to get something. So, Indra would have anyway given him something or the other. Indra gave Karna what he asked for, but he too put forth conditions
First condition - “Except the thunder-bolt alone, tell me what it is that thou desirest to have!'" Indra already laid a condition that except the more powerful Thunderbolt weapon Karna could ask for anything else. He gave Karna a comparatively weaker weapon.
Second condition - “This dart that is incapable of being baffled, hurled by my hand, destroyeth enemies by hundreds, and cometh back to my hand after achieving its purpose. In thy hand, however, this dart, O son of Suta, will slay only one powerful enemy of thine.” So, a weapon that is capable of killing hundreds of enemies will be reduced to be capable of killing only one. Even Lord Surya mentioned about asking for a weapon that would kill enemies by hundreds and thousands which is why I highlighted that part above.
Third condition - “And if, maddened by wrath, thou hurlest this dart, while there are still other weapons with thee, and when thy life also is not in imminent peril, it will fall even on thyself.'” Karna was supposed to use the weapon only as a last option and only when his life is at risk and not when he felt like. Otherwise, it would turn on him and kill him.
He could use it only once
So in exchange for his armour and earrings that would protect him from celestial weapons as long as he lives, he gets something that is not as powerful as Indra’s Thunderbolt, gets a watered down version of the Vasavi dart which he could use only once and to add to that, he couldn’t use it as per his will, but only when he had no other option and was facing certain death. It wasn’t a good exchange at all. It was a very raw deal. I agree Karna had done nasty things and wasn’t the epitome of righteousness, but I cannot get myself to think this was fair by any means.
