Wonderful video! Many thanks…I lived in Church Road from 1975 - 1981 as a small child. We lived in the house at the very end because my dad was the minister at the Baptist church. I Went to Colley Lane Primary school, and learnt to ride bike in the car park at the bottom of the “Rec“. I found your video after trying to find out about the (?)Marley Hole …scared me to death as a kid. Thanks to your video I now understand what that was and why it was there and all about the mining history at Homer Hill. I’m going to enjoy watching some of your other videos.

Thank you very much for dropping a comment it's great to learn the history of these areas especially where mining was very industrialised that church is amazing to see inside glad to get alot of this on the video 😁

I used to live in Cradley. Left for Wales in 1989. I went to Cradley High School on top of Homer hill. I also went to Colley Lane primary. I left in 1984. I used to use the library opposite. The Chinese in the 1st episode was the first ever Chinese I had in the 80’s. IGreat video would love to see more of the area.

Wilson Hall has been brought and is being turned into a bar and grill.
The shops with the Chinese have now been demolished
