I think the true reason for no crossover is because Doom is M rated based and Halo is teen based. Both franchises target different age range. Doom is also heavy on the boomer shooter side of thing while Halo is just your standard exploration FPS. You would also have to either tone Doom Guy down or make Masterchief more violent. For two franchises that target two kinds of audiences. Neither would be able to compromise and both don't have a whole lot in common. That's my opinion anyway.

Idk I just think that Microsoft based how other company's like Sony and Nintendo and gaming studios cant seem to make it make sense they may make this into a crap show if not done correctly. If anything I hope they dont share a same world. For example, something like a non canon game like Fortnite but a game to have them share a story wise idk man. These company's can't get to get things right with these characters doom guy/the slayer should be the guy you expect to be the best and that no one can rival him but seen how Master Chief is apparently a dude that can rival Doom Slayer some say. I just can't see they(Microsoft) are willing to do anything so that Master Chief comes out on top that makes sense. To it put lightly The Slayer is Top and anything Master Chief does Imo is just BS to try to milk him especially after halo 4, 5 and infinite. In terms of power scaling, which is fine but I don't speak for everyone where I just don't like The Master Chief in general despite actually me buying an Xbox one and the first game I bought and played for was Halo the Master Chief collection.
