I've owned a Cotton Carier twin for several years. The retaining lug on the chest holster of my original carrier snapped, but Cotton Carrier provide a three year warranty and replaced my original with the G3 version. It really is a brilliant bit of kit and I carry a Sony A9 + 200 - 600mm on the chest holster and a Sony A7III + 90mm macro on the hip holster. I wear mine a lot higher up on my chest, though. I walk between 5 and 7 hours a day and find the Cotton Carrier really comfortable. I used to carry a Nikon D500 + 200 - 500mm and an Olympus EM1 mark II + 300mm f4 on the hip of my original harness. It was my carelessness which caused the original to break.
Hello Pete and Tim, I have Sony A7iii + 200-600. Can you tell where did you attached the Cotton HUB? Directely on your A9 or on the quick release plate of your 200-600 lens? I wonder if I attached the HUB on the camera if it would add too much stress on E mount camera, considering the weight of the lens? Under my quick release plate of my lense, I have also a Gimbal Plate. So, I consider to buy a iShoot Quick release Lens Foot IS-THS260 and attach the HUB on it. When I need to use my gimbal tripod, I would just have to swat the iShoot quick connect plate with the Sony quick connect/Gimbal plate. What do you think! Thanks!! Great video!!
Great video Tim. I've been thinking for a while about replacing my current strap with a Cotton carrier for when i'm out on my mountain bike . Thanks as always for the great content
It's comfortable and I have hat I need to find and photograph the birds, so I'm very happy with it. It's actually more comfortable than I thought it would be, and the camera weight it's an issue.
The binocular's tether and hooking to the belt bit intrigues me. The Cotton Carrier not so much as I'm used to carrying my kit on a BlackRapid sport while wearing my Osprey-Kestrel 48 backpack on my hikes.
@@GodwitMediaLLC Yes I just got the bino harness. Twas confusing to attach to binos but I finally got a video that was tricky but finally have it working.
A very big change in equipment Tim! Just wondering whether you plan to use fill-flash with the Olympus setup. Particularly in overcast conditions or problem light - for the feather detail and colouring.
+Zaber Ansary Yes, Olympus loaned me some equipment for 60 days and afterwards I decided to switch. Of course there are a couple of things I don't like but the new technology and the lightweight lenses won me over. So many advantages for me. You'll see in the next couple of months how I'm shooting differently.
Just tried the discount at Cotton Carrier and it's only a 10% discount. Not the 15% noted above. May not be a deal-breaker but was different than advertised.
I'm so sorry that I got that wrong. I'll double check when I get home tomorrow I really though it was 15%. I apologize for any problems this caused. Tim
Hi Tim! I love my Cotton Carrier but I hadn't thought of attaching my binoculars. Great tip! One less thing strung around my neck. Thanks.

Thanks for commenting, I think I've going to move the harness up some too.

I would love to see an update on this product from you!

I was just thinking about finding something like this. I just placed the order. Thanks for the review and the discount.
I use it everyday now, and since I haven't used my tripod much since I switched to Olympus, the Cotton Carrier has been great!

+Twizted Zero I think they sell the belt part separately and probably the tethers too

Neat rig, im going to give it a look
Tim, do you think this would of worked with your previous system and larger telephoto lens?
Nice review Tim..was wondering, are you not using Canon at all anymore?
BobSouthDakota I was wondering that too. Then he said switched to Olympus...so I’m assuming
I switched to Olympus, the 600mm lens just got too heavy and I felt weighed down by it.
Ok, thanks Tim, great video as always. I always look forward to them.
Tim am I correct you have harness #2??
Just seems like an idea to be able to carry a spare lens as opposed to binocular - logic being if I cant see the bird its too far away anyway!!
Either way, it's a comfortable harness. I can't believe it took me this long to try one.
You switched to Olympus? I thought you only rented.
Good for you shaving off some extra weight and gaining convenience.

Might be worth mentioning it's a micro four thirds with a crop factor of 2 to stop us having to check your math!
+Jim Shanks Good point, thanks I'll do that going forward.

Wow, what a load of crap! If a grizzly came upon you, you would be dead meat!
