any issues with this throwing a "turn signal light out" code? I just wired in switchback headlights that include a blinker, but I'm nervous about a code if I unplug the factory bulb
Some states you would get a ticket. There are "adequate fender laws" These don't look like they are wide enough to cover the tire. Tires pick up debris and throw it back.. The ones taken off were better for protecting those following you.
They were not supposed to cover the tire at all, that wasn't the design. The factor ones are larger yes, but they don't fit with larger tires, so obviously I know that and had to remove them for the tires I had coming. I've never had any issues with debris or anything being thrown up at the truck with these either. But yes very few states this would be illegal, but not where I live.
I did not, I just tapped them in with the hammer. The actual rivet had splines on them which would help hold them in. If I have any problems I'll mention that, but so far so good.
can you run those without fender liners? Wondering how long they will hold up for the money in MN weather? I want to change out my 2020 sport fenders but wow expensive. Ive seen them for 3G's for a set....Spent my money on my Jeep....But love the higher fender look. Not so sure about trimming them, my wife would have a bird......Em what to do what to do?
I wouldn't run it without the liners, but you can, I did it a few weeks but I have already installed the liners and that video will be going up soon, but I had to drive in the rain without them, and found water on the backside of my tail lights, not to say it won't do anything, but it looks unfinished without them. I bought my flares for $167 and the liners for $230. Mines an 2018 so they should fit on a 20. Not sure how you are finding them for $3k
That's interesting! I've see a few gladiators with similar flares and either they could be factory or they just added them, but they have a nice design to them!
Hey guys! Love your new fender flares!! What a contrast to the stock ones! Be cool to see it with new wheels and front bumper! Loving all the new additions to the JL Wrangler!! You guys must have loads of patience with all the screws and bolts to put on!! Great job!!
Did these on my jk living in the snow belt WNY these WILL rust and damage your paint underneath . theres a reason why these are so cheap. These rust from the back first so keep a look out
Interesting, I live where it doesn't snow so I wouldn't be concerned with rust, but most other flares I found are made of the same material. But I'll keep an eye on it in case!
Why worry about putting it back to stock? You would probably sell it for more with the mods left on the Jeep and not waste time taking them off or storing them.
Dude those fenders look great. Wasn't sure about it when you first started but wow I see where you're heading with the jeep and im liking it. Even with the headlight mod. Id be affriad to try that here in MD. Im curios to see your permanent fix for that. I've never been a jeep fan or owner but you guys have me very interested in what can be done with one. Great jobs bros! Im missing the b58 although i feel like Brian's next step performance wise is a pure or vargas turbo upgrade. I hear is awesome but I'm not so sure about the need to make that jump. I probably never will for my own car. On another note maybe Brian can dig into the transmission tune that came with his tune. I got xhp just curious how they compare. Mike do you miss having a sports car? You ever take Brian's supra out when you wanna have a spirited ride? My bad for jumping all over the place with this comment. Missing the taco and godzilla also btw. Nice content guys!
Glad you're liking the Jeep build!! Not 100% sure on my permanent turn signal fix yet lol. But I have more parts on the way! Supra has been good! Can't even put down all the power now when its cold. So maybe next summer it'll get more power when it can put it down. I'm working on adding a sportscar of my own ;)
can you guys do a Q&A? like how did you get into cars? what inspired you to start your channel? Do you guys do this full time? who gets more girls? haha
Don't do what!? These fender flares were great for the money and looked great! Saving money and still having the same quality in a part sounds like a win to me.
How so? Good thing it's not your vehicle otherwise you wouldn't like it, but for me and my vehicle, this is a great setup! Here's what it looks like now with the wheels! Mod by mod, it takes some time to get the parts on..ua-cam.com/video/wfpkZ9HY0OY/v-deo.html

You won’t get a code as long as a bulb is connected. So by unplugging and reconnecting. That won’t hurt anything.

What a profile difference! There must be some reason why the rears cover the tires but the fronts don’t.
The body work is slightly different, the front end narrows some compared to rear!
Did you use a rivet tool for the rivets you tapped in?I believe the rivet tool mushrooms the rivets so they dont pop out.
I did not, I just tapped them in with the hammer. The actual rivet had splines on them which would help hold them in. If I have any problems I'll mention that, but so far so good.
Brother I have question can we replace these plastic fender with metal one like in Jeep Wrangler top model
You can replace any fender flare on any Jeep model!!
Thanks buddy

Supposedly they are going to put out the same flares for the rear of the Gladiator in March 2022. Those fenders look best
That's interesting! I've see a few gladiators with similar flares and either they could be factory or they just added them, but they have a nice design to them!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I am referring to the cheap brand. Yes you are correct the higher end brands do have those.
Or maybe the fogs could be used as turn signals. I have a feeling the bumper is coming soon! Looks good!
Possibly! New bumper should be here next week! I'm brainstorming some lighting options!
why dont they show how to do the rear dv8 fender flare liners
I mentioned in the video I didn't know I needed aftermarket liners, but here's the video on that! ua-cam.com/video/I2BRDYTiTMo/v-deo.html
@@BrosFOURRSpeed lol those are the front !!! show how to do the rear dv8 fender liners smh
@@rolandsuccar327 I showed how to do the fronts and the rears for the brand of these that I put on.
Okay, I subbed. Wouldnt want to miss anymore of these antics. Always wondered about changing the flairs.
Thanks for the sub! I have more mods on the way for this! It's been a fun build so far! I love these flares too!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed 👍
Looked better with the stock flares on.
Wait for some more parts to come in! It looks funny right now for sure.
Looking a lot cooler bro its nice! 😊
Thanks!!
I like the look especially with the engine exposed ... And metal is always better then plastic
Here's the video with the engine closed up with the new liners! I didn't leave it like that! ua-cam.com/video/I2BRDYTiTMo/v-deo.html

The bumper is on the way!! Still looking for wheels! But yeah it took a good bit to put everything together! Worth it though!
You don’t need new fender flares!

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Just spray Fluid Film on them if it seems like a concern.
Good point. Well If I ever see any issues with them. Can always take them off and re coat them

It should be coming in this week!! Can't wait for it!

That could be true. When the time comes I have to see what makes the most sense, I might be trading it in instead of just selling, but you never know!
Looks good. I know they have some plug and play fenders with the integrated turn signal. 🤙🏽
Yea I saw a few, just crazy expensive!
Yes they are!
@@Hondacbr600rrish Figured I'd try these first, like them so far for the price!
This is why I have to pay professionals...I would break everything🤦🏽♂️🤣
haha yeah these little tabs would just have to be replaced.
Pros break it too, just replace it and charge you
Next, new and Big Wheels/Tires
Hopefully soon!
Good job 👌
Thanks for watching!

Yeah I decided to stay behind the camera but not in movies 😂

Thanks!!
Please change the wheels, Those stock ones just don’t cut it. And of course a lift
I will! Not sure which ones I want to go with yet, but those will be coming soon!
I think he did this so he doesn't have to lift it. At least, that's what I got from the video.
@@Theyralltakenfu I'll be lifting it for sure! Never said I wasn't lol.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed O h ok, I thought you said you put those are for clearance so you wouldn't have to lift it. I stand corrected. Lmao
@@Theyralltakenfu They will definitely help with more tire clearance, but it needs some height! Tires will help too though.

To me they were way too bulky, but it still looks odd without the bigger tires and bumper!
