Worked many a train in and out of Earles sidings especially cement for Tan House at Widnes, it could be very difficult to drag a full load out on a bad rail and would be lucky to do around 20mph up to Edale even with a Class 60.
The 3rd class 20 does not work there, it is D8053 which was painted in BR Green until a few years ago it was painted in a yellow and silver livery (I think it was Chorus) and has been seen at Scunthorpe steel terminal and then it was re painted into blue and orange.
@@danielsellers8707 indeed yes, since my comment 3 years ago i found out that 20056 (D8056) is stored and still in the Chorus yellow and silver livery, also recently 20168 has been removed from the site and 20309 is due to stand in

Very enjoyable Kyle, looks like 20168 has been painted since I was last here a few years ago.
Doesn't the Class 20 shunt the bulk cars from the branchline where they get loaded to the sidings where the Class 66's pick them up?
That was nice to see, Thanks kyle
+Ernest Johnson Thank you, Ernie!
20906 has been silenced so much that it literally makes no noise at all, at least 20168 still sound remotely like a 20
So they are 3 20s working there 20168, 20906 but what is the 3rd one Anyone know

Brilliant video! A like from me! :)
+The Enthusiastic Trainspotter (DRS68004 Oscar) Thank you!
There's still a trace of the class 20 sound beneath that silencer......
Nigel Terry what silencer plz explain
They are fitted with a silencer due to housing nearby. Reduce the noise of the loco under load etc.
Nick Farrant ok thanks for explaining but if I was in one of those houses I would want to hear a class 20
Luke’s trains and Engines Probably the same for most people watching this video!
Most likely yeah
