My son wants to fish but I haven’t been in YEARS! As a single mom it’s hard to find time, but we’re going on weekends, but this is AMAZING!!! I had forgotten all of this!!! Thank you so much!
Great demonstration for anyone needing the basics. I grew up using a cane pole, a hook, a bb sized sinker, and a cork bobber (we called it a "float"). My mom taught me how to fish when I was 8 or so. Nothing more relaxing to me than fishing with that rig (and nothing more exciting than seeing the "float" disappear! Thanks for making this video!
I’ve fished a bit as a kid but never thought how things worked. No I’m older starting again a bit more serious and trying to teach my toddlers so these basic tips helped a lot . Thanks again
Smaller the hook the bigger the number is a gauge system for the wire that the hook is made from. To make a wire, you pull metal rod through a roller to stretch it, then there is a gauge it has to pass through to make sure it is small enough to go through the next roller for making it smaller, so the more gauges you use, the higher the number.
I'll look at doing something like that, but I'm not a big catfisherman so my knowledge there is limited. I don't have the patience to sit and wait for fish to come to me.

Thank you Mr. Bob.
What hangs down first, the hook or the weight?
Thats what I’ve been looking for
the hook
Order: bobber then weight then hook
Thank you! This was very very helpful

You should do a catfishing video
