Typical Bollywood product glorifying inter-community marriage, which is almost always between a Muslim man and Hindu woman. No surprises there. Also, like most journos the creative team of this film seems fact-challenged, with several flaws. A "Conservation Assistant" is NOT a Grade-A officer but a Grade-C employee. Also, why didn't he want to stay in a Muslim locality (as mentioned while he was coming to this chawl with the broker ?) Despite revealing his actual name & identity as a Muslim, he's not lynched or harassed, as a Hindu man would have in a Muslim ghetto, esp if the man were courting a Muslim woman in the ghetto. Meaningless meandering in script and story till the end, with no clarity of why Neelu abruptly changed her mind. Would love to see movies / short-films promoting more such inter-community marriages between a Hindu man and a Muslim woman, if our film-makers have the guts. STSJ gangs are just a call away :-)

Over 90% of Hindi movies of past 75 years show Muslim man marrying Hindu woman by wooing her by hook or crook, and the woman too falling for his charms, as if Hindu men aren't charming enough. Such portrayals are propaganda nor reality. Even in reality over 90% inter-caste marriages between Muslims and Hindus is between a Muslim man and Hindu woman. Movies you mentioned are exceptions, and exceptions only prove the rule.
