I think the way you talk about the player like their methods and head space is awesome, and fills a really cool gaming journalism niche i didnt know i wanted more of
I think his main point in saying that is that you can kill most squishies without an optimal combo since in lower ranks than the highest ones people already struggle staying alive or sustaining through damage/chaotic moments. The mechanics will come over time and in specific practice sessions but in matches learning the timing and finding the openings is much more important.
@ yeah I was being a bit of a dick. He’s absolutely right in that one should be mastering the art and strategy of diving rather than focusing on raw mechanics
Never would’ve expected a Gigantic mention. This was a cool vid concept and background info dive. Enjoyed learning the niche character preferences as well as weak points from a cracked player’s pov, that’s always interesting stuff to hear.
@SharksInYaMouth they play on NA. Tanuki is consistently the #1 Panther on Global Leaderboard (I've seen that man in Top 20). Karkat is usually around the GM-Eternity range but his knowledge on Panther is extremely good, he puts advanced guides on YT. Both Panther mains
Great video - really important for players to see this type of gameplay/video/conversation for the more difficult to play melee/dive characters. There is so much thought process, awareness and technical skill to apply. I understand that non-melee characters have their nuances/skill too, but it is nowhere near on the level of these characters. Also, amazing to see a fellow Gigantic player: played it in 2018 and now (when it works) in 2024/25, Marvel Rivals shares so many similarities with the game but the way that Spiderman and BP especially feel is a nice similar speed to Gigantic. I genuinely think it is one of the most underrated games out there, but, it's dead. Game Pass can't help it. I miss the speed and spectacle of that game. Marvel Rivals shares a great art style though
The thing about most gamers is that if you’re skilled in one shooter, those abilities tend to carry over to other similar games. Personally, I don’t usually give much credit to the idea that simply playing more will bridge the gap. I’ve been gaming my whole life, and while I’ve always been slightly above average, I’ve never truly excelled. This pattern holds across all the games I’ve played. I could drop MOABs in Call of Duty, held my own in Gears, cranked 90s like crazy in Fortnite, hit Diamond/master in Apex, and currently sit at Diamond in Marvel Rivals. I enjoy gaming, but I’m not mechanically gifted like some of the top players. The reality is, if you haven’t developed those skills by now, chances are you never will. Accepting that can be tough, but it’s the truth.
They need to fix the stun panther gets when he gets hit by literally anything while dashing. I’m just floating in the air doing a funny pose as I can’t do anything till I hit the ground
What's his EDPI? I sometimes feel like my sensitivity is too low for BP but when I switch to aim heroes I feel like I can't go much higher without starting to noodle.
As someone who spends like lot of time on panther discord, he is right lot of people can do what he did mechanically but it's the other part that's hard. The clipped one was basically 1- 90 1- 180, into e. This was with hold dash so It is risky but flashy.
honestly the one thing that BP NEEDS ! is the kick needs a slight alteration - too many times do you use the kick and not go anywhere from getting clipped on more or less a single pixel because its on a different "plain" ; in the sense that you can only control left/ right movement with it (which is fine - keep that as is), but it should (if you can walk over an obstacle without jumping) - you should glide over it while using the spinning kick
I’m unsure - haven’t seen him in many games due to primarily watching Sypeh and the EU guys when they stream. After covering a couple other people/hero’s I might revisit BP and see if Tanuki is still playing it then.
Press dash, midle of dash flick mouse to 180 so wwhen bp end the 1st dash he already facing 180, all u need now is micro ajustment of your crosshair to the target and dash again, dont abuse ghost dash cause its not reliable

Have just slipped into it coming from coaching another game, and learning this one.
Weird dynamic but glad you like it.
awesome vid and the convo we had was super nice :D♥
Its crazy that you only have 1.5k subs, this is a great video man hope you make more like this. Love the editing too.
Thanks bro.
Have to give credit to my editor though!

‘Don’t focus on mechanics’ - immediately ghost dashes into a filthy flick with his E
LMAO I know right, just different.

What a humble guy. Tks for the video.
You came across my recommended on youtube, very nice video and love the way you slowed down the reply to show what happened. Keep it up :)
Please do more content like this. Loved it
I will be doing one a week! Cheers.
Tanuki and Karkat deserve an honorable mention
What server do they play on? If they’re also NA that’s probably my lowest watched region.

@@SharksInYaMouth also, Karkat is a former #1 Panther back on S0 I believe
@@grogu_2003ngl karat isn’t that good
@@DevoanicHe hit top 500, in s0 he ranked to 148 or something so it's a little disingenuous to say he isn't very good.
Love the vid, could you do a tank analysis?
Yeah could do.
Review high level star lord please 🙏 Great Video! You’ve earned a sub ❤
Anyone else other than Brooks?
3:33 messed up BP kick form dash icons hahaha just a nitpick, great videos!
Ahhh, I didn’t review it - whoops.

I knew Nox was good, but if u are comparing Chazm to a BP main u have to check Tanuki and Karkat, they are up there pathing the way for BP players
Maybe next time I do a cycle back to BP there’ll be heaps more.
They need to fix the stun panther gets when he gets hit by literally anything while dashing. I’m just floating in the air doing a funny pose as I can’t do anything till I hit the ground
It seems like they need to fix a bit with him for him to be as good as the other options.

surprise Gigantic mention lmao
Love it

The most impressive part about that clip for me was the spinning kick i wouldnt have even thinked tobhit luna with my toe

The hitbox is a bit low?
Or does it just genuinely still seem like both of panthers legs are on the ground.

What do you think about Tanuki's black panther? He said that Chazm said that he's the best BP he's seen
I’m unsure - haven’t seen him in many games due to primarily watching Sypeh and the EU guys when they stream.

Genji pros are used to this type of fast plays
Shadder2k was the last pro Genji player I even heard about.
