I bought Greg's cookbook last Christmas. I am not a bodybuilder but was overweight and my doctor told me I needed to lose weight. I was 18 and a half stone last January and am down to 16 stone at the moment. I was eating too much of the wrong things. The cookbook is actually very good. Yes it's expensive but for your health's sake I think it is well worth it!

For people who genuinely struggle losing weight, maybe even for years or decades... I'd say $100 is NOTHING to ask for finally solving that. Also, the amount of money the average person will SAVE eating at home will ALSO be much more than $100. The value is there... But now that Greg has outwardly said he is a millionaire and 99.9% of his audience are NOT... I wish he'd cut the price to $50. "sugar substitutes are worse than actual sugar" - currently the biggest lie in the fitness industry.
I know people can cite studies linking sugar substitutes and cancer, but the same people don't seem to have the ability to cite studies linking sugar and diabetes.
and diabetes is nothing to f**k with (I've had relatives die from diabetes).
so in the end, one is just as bad as the other. if you need sugar, it doesn't matter if its real or a substitute. my rule is everything is okay in moderation.
but also with diets, you can't depend on super-restrictive diets being a sustainable thing that you can follow for the rest of your life. In general, the more restrictive it is, the less sustainable it is.

I find myself doing better when I cut out sugary things as much as possible because then I’ll crave it less. And I love sweets so maybe they are the same way. But having sweets once in a while helps as well but usually only once a week and something small.

More glycemic foods create an insulin spike making it more likely for calories from that meal to be stored as fat. So what the calories are from in each meal should matter. This is how i always looked at dieting id like to know how somone who thinks like greg looks at it scientifically maybe i have been wrong?

Honestly a strict diet where you’re eating chicken and rice three times a day helps me avoid the thought of a good tasting meal& if I’m eating foods that taste good it manipulates my mind thinking I can go out and grab a cheat meal because I think it’s okay.
