When the verse be still and know that i am God was mentioned i remember in the new testament about Mary & Martha. Martha was busy and overwhelmed. Asking Jesus to get Mary to help.. Mary ( being still) had geen listening to the Master.... He addressed Martha's stress and told her Mary had chosen the better part. Just a thought....

This comment just adressed a question I was having about a personal situation I am in right now where I was thinking how I could sit down and study a bunch of documents regarding my upcoming divorce mediation which I cannot even understand all of it let alone sort it all out and i don't trust my lawyers to even try since they're getting paid by the hour! And all I really want to do is study my Bible and draw close to the LORD and trust He will sort it all out according to His will! & I was questioning my own motives thinking perhaps I was just being lazy! I was listening to this video while having some lunch thinking this video would encourage me to Act like it says in the title and then the message was a lil diff than I'd expected! It has been a battle for me. That people keep saying that "God only helps those who help themselves." I love that this quote video talks about being still in God. Thank you Lord. For when the world accused me of doing nothing. I was turning to you my Lord. Thank you for rescuing me. In Jesus name.
That is one of the biggest untruths about God and the Bible, that saying of ‘God only helps those who help themselves’. That is a people saying, it’s not mentioned anywhere in the Bible. And think about it, if that was the case, would He have sent His only son to die on the cross for our sins? That was all Him, and this was when humans were spitting on Him and hating Him, but Jesus was still on His way to the cross to die for all those people too. God helps us even when we don’t know how to help ourselves, or that we even know that we need help. I’m not saying we should live a life without responsibility, as there are consequences for that, and as Christians we should know better, but God is merciful even when we mess up and haven’t helped ourself. But let’s not take His love for granted. A love that is unlike any other. Praise be to God. 🙏🏾

I understand that struggle also. I’m beginning to understand that it’s about just surrendering and following that positive path and having faith that it will happen no matter how or when. How does this imply to children who are being abused? Having a hard time wrapping my head around this concept.
God depends on is to be his hand and feet concerning mankind. We can’t solve every issue no matter how we would like to but to do what He has called us to do. Each of Us who have given our lives to Christ surrenders our Will to his. He will speak to you regarding the issues in society that he wants us to help solve. He will put a burden on our hearts which is his burden, for every human concern. If we look at everything that is wrong we find ourselves frustrated and angry and end up doing nothing. But if we ask “what is it that you would have me to do Lord?” He will answer you and provide the provision for the task. Be blessed❤

Always been a struggle for me to know how hard I should try and to find that balance
I understand that struggle also. I’m beginning to understand that it’s about just surrendering and following that positive path and having faith that it will happen no matter how or when.
