I just realized that Gabby did this all on purpose for the sake of their cover, especially because we find out at the end that she's an agent too (remember, she's working for Hugh Grant's character). Because she's an agent, she knows that their room is likely bugged/under surveillance. So she cranks up the music and wrestles with him to make it _sound_ like they're having sex, as any normal couple would. On top of that, she can test Ilya to see 1.) how quick he is to anger and 2.) what sets him off (which is why she makes him slap himself, lol). Along with whether or not she can trust him to be a gentleman and decent person who would NOT take advantage of a drunk woman. And Ilya passes the test with flying colors; he doesn't take advantage of her, he doesn't lash out at her in anger and he doesn't embarrass her by not telling Solo that she got drunk and sloppy. Which explains why Gabby suddenly trusts Ilya versus her fear of him at the beginning of the movie. Man, I need a sequel to this!
